      Re: The 2008 Olympics

You know why I have difficulty caring about the Olympics? Because Olympic sports are boring:

      1. Stick Touch (aka Fencing)

The goal of this sport is not to be touched by the opponents stick.

      2. Jumping (aka the Long Jump)

In this sport, people take turns jumping. Whoever jumps the farthest, wins.

      3. Jerks in the Pool (aka...Swimming)

These assholes decided just hanging out at the pool wasn't enough. No, they had to go and make a competition out of it..splashing about, making it so that no one else can enjoy the pool. The goal in this sport is to swim the fastest. Irregardless, the fastest swimmer in the world will never out swim a shark.

I just found out there is such thing as a 14 year old olympian, for the woman butterfly 14 year old chinese swimmer Li got last place. No surprise there becuase all the other competers are in their 20's and have a lot more experience, just dont kno why china would pick her, there should be other strong chinese women swimmers that is better than a 14 year old.

Agreed. There is a great advantage for the young swimmer, though; she can learn from the Olympic experience and come back for several more Olympics. In my opinion, it's best to start young.

We should allow sharks to swim in the Olympics.

US Men's Soccer is tied for first with Nigeria in Group B.

US Women's Soccer is in second place behind (-3) Norway in Group G.

Our basketball team is kicking some ass over there, too. Beating China 101-70; scoring 20 or more points in all four quarters.
