PS: I adored N64's sports game Nagano Olympics. It was funny to go "WEEEEE I IS SKIING DOWN A MOUNTAIN. **** HIT A FLAG AAAAAAAHHHHH". No, really. I was really good at the Ski Jump, ironically enough. Also liked the skating event. "MUST MASH THESE BUTTONS FOR NO APPARENT REASON TO WIN TEH RACE!".

I'm in Shibuya, Tokyo. There are loads and loads of anti-China movements going on here. I got pictures. It makes my summer hw a lot easier. =)

I just hope that these upcoming weeks are used to celebrate the athletes and it's not used as a gigantic political statement, and that everything goes smoothly without incident. It's not the athletes' fault that some ****hole got to host the Olympics.

Do you have any information to back this up? Im finding this to be quite a silly thing to say.

Well, the Chinese government has been diverting water from Northern farmlands so that Beijing could have enough water for the Olympics.

They've shooed away all their homeless. They've demolished or built walls around their slums, etc. Industry in the area has been stopped for weeks as to reduce the amount of air pollution before the games. Basically, it's all one large facade...spray-painted gold to fool the rest of the world.

Why are people protesting in the Olympics ?
Shouldn't it be left to a Political event, not a sporting one ?

Oh, and the opening was o.k, what I saw of it, the guy running in the air with the tourch was fun.

China isn't a good place to do Olympics IMO. I'm watching a replay or something right now. Theres like a ceremony thing and they have some Piano accompanied with tons of people dancing in light up suits and it looks cool. I'm not so excited for Olympics this year though.
