I took the AP Euro history last year. Got a 3, and thats with only getting the multiple choice and DBQ done. I could have 5'd it easily if I didn't spend so much time on my kickass DBQ. (Which ironically was about the impact of sports on early 19th century political affairs)

Hah. Same here actually. Never really bothered with the FRQs because they were all stupid last year. Spice trade and Popes? Fun stuff.

APs aren't very hard. If you're studying out of prep books and you're getting 2s on those tests, you'll be fine. The prep books are much harder then the actual test. I'm not too worried this year since my only AP is English Language and Composition, which shouldn't be too hard. Gotta love rhetoric.

I'm in some AP classes and they're really not that big of a deal for me. Maybe cause I really don't care about school and the lack of stress makes things a lot easier. I guess you make the monster as big as you want and that's what you have to fight. Go into it without all the tension and stress and you'll do a lot better than wetting yourself over it.

those ap tests scared me. my ap stats teacher was bugging me to take the test saying that i should be able to pass. i was a "b" student in class but the stress + difficulty + $70, prevented me from taking the test. i knew some of the stuff, but i didnt feel like studying all the stuff over again. i kinda liked the class too. it was just that if i didnt get a 3 on the test that would be a waste of $70. however, i now think that i shouldve taken the ap test. maybe i wouldve passed. i say take it.

Don't worry about the tests. Even top-tier universities will accept 4's on those tests (well, maybe a 5 on psych). I go to Northwestern, and I can tell you that the tests here (for the most part) are without a doubt harder than the AP tests so whoever said otherwise about college exams is out of his/her mind. I'm sure you'll do fine. And also, tell your parents that they're being crazy for making your car-usage dependent on your scores. You already did pretty well by getting into those classes and you seem to be studying plenty and trying your best. If your parents aren't happy with that, they're whackjobs.

Remember that if you get above a 65 out of 100 points proportionately, you will probably get a 4 or a 5. They are difficult but they acknowledges their own difficulty. Hard questions are worth the same as easy questions. Skip those you have trouble with and come back to them later. If you find yourself with time to spare, return to them with a clearer head now with all the other questions out of the way.

I had my college final exam for one of three remedial classes I have to take before I work of my major. I think I passed it with at least a B or a high C.

Really? Most of the top-tier colleges I've looked at only accept a handful of tests at all. MIT will let you skip the freshman semester of introductory physics for a 5 on both Physics C tests, and that's it.

I'm taking the AP Computer Science A exam tomorrow... hopefully everyone else is as unprepared as I am. Remember, the grade is on a curved scale... so technically you could get a C or a D but if everyone else did bad as well you could still get a 4 or a 5

AP Physics C is pretty ridiculous. From what my teacher told me, a 3 is 35%.

omg good luck....im a freshman so i don't have to worry but next year i have to take ap world...god i can see me failing that one.....and then i have to take at least 2 ap classes for my junior year....god i hate the SMA (science and math academy)

AP Statistics...more hell than the title makes it out to be. :shocked: Since the beginning of the school year, 2 kids have dropped from my class. The best student EVER, and the female winner of the Wendy's High School Heisman (sp?) Award, is in this class. (In case you don't know what that award is, it's a [U.S.A.] national competition, basically, where only 2 students, 1 male & 1 female, are chosen to have, I believe, $10,000 donated to their high school. Kind of a big deal.) It's so crazy how hard it's gotten near the end of the learning year. Our test is Tuesday...and O M G I'm screwed. Calc ain't got nuthin' on dis shiz. I need a miracle to get at least a 3, seeing as I got a 2 with 24/100 pts. on the practice exam. XO

I'm taking AP Microeconomics next year and AP Music Theory in 11th grade. I'm pretty stoked for the AP exams, especially AP Music Theory which I expect no less than a 5 on.

LOL, AP Micro. AP Music Theory, though, I'm taking that next year!! Along with AP Computer Science, yup. AP Theory should be a breeze, I have an excellent grasp of the theory side on music. I mainly wanna take it because I wanna learn how to compose better. Nothing along the lines of Mozart's Requiem quite yet, but enough to get the beautiful melodies and harmonies and rhythms and chords et al. out of my head and into actual music, you know what I mean?

Took my AP Stats test on on Tuesday. Wasn't TOO terrible, actually. I might've actually gotten a 4. My God, I will probably shart myself if I do...

AP Music Theory

This class and this test are actually a lot of work, from what I hear. You have to sight-sing a passage on one part.

Anyway, AP Lit is over, so I'm done caring. There's Physics C, Psych, and Macro left, which should be fine.
