Ap Exams :-$

Is anyone else as HORRIFIED as I am for the tests. I've been studying for Ap Us History for two weeks straight and still feel like I dont know enough to pass. I took a practice test in my class AND GOT A 44% and i need to get a 3 or higher on Ap Us and Ap Psych to be able to use my car this summer.

I'm so nervous I'm gonna cry!

Yeah man, everyone's been like stressing out about the tests.

Well, since I'm a freshman, and I'm really not smart enough to take AP classes (rofl) the only thing I have to study for are the SOL (Standards of Learning) tests in about.. two weeks. I'm really confident though, since I've never failed a single SOL test in my entire life. I really don't even study.

But it's painful to see how my friend's get treated by their parents. Like my friend just told me today that her mom is forcing her to study, and she can't go out, play games, or read (she's a bookworm). Makes me kinda happy inside that my parents neglect me.

Those exams were beasts when I took them. They're even harder than the finals I take now in college. :P

EDIT: SoL...that's a Virginia thing. Good times, good times.

Dude, that really sucks. Now I'm scared of advancing to the next grade, rofl.

But.. yeah, I know of some really smart people who have gotten low grades on their SAT's and finals. Makes me wonder if in a couple of years, that I'll be in the same situation and possibly getting scores in like the 30's and 40's.

APs really aren't that hard. The only test I bothered to study for was Bio, and that was glancing over the text a day before to make sure I didn't forget anything.

They aren't as bad as they seem - college finals are worse (at least at my school). I wish I would've taken more AP tests but my high school didn't offer a lot of them.

For me, AP tests are very much harder than just doing classes through running start. So, that's what I did a lot of.

I'm not taking AP courses due to monetary reasons. I won't be taking them until senior year, but still, those tests are really damn expensive.

but they are so hard

I took the AP Euro history last year. Got a 3, and thats with only getting the multiple choice and DBQ done. I could have 5'd it easily if I didn't spend so much time on my kickass DBQ. (Which ironically was about the impact of sports on early 19th century political affairs).

I may be taking the one on friday for US History, which will be much much easier than Euro. I haven't studied for it, nor do I plan to.

Don't worry about getting at least a 3, it's not hard.

I like how "Standard of Learning"'s acronym is SoL, which coicendentally is an acronym for something else....

AP Statistics...more hell than the title makes it out to be. :shocked: Since the beginning of the school year, 2 kids have dropped from my class. The best student EVER, and the female winner of the Wendy's High School Heisman (sp?) Award, is in this class. (In case you don't know what that award is, it's a [U.S.A.] national competition, basically, where only 2 students, 1 male & 1 female, are chosen to have, I believe, $10,000 donated to their high school. Kind of a big deal.) It's so crazy how hard it's gotten near the end of the learning year. Our test is Tuesday...and O M G I'm screwed. Calc ain't got nuthin' on dis shiz. I need a miracle to get at least a 3, seeing as I got a 2 with 24/100 pts. on the practice exam. XO

Oi. Whoever said "Stats isn't real math," or "Calculus is far harder than Stats" obviously hasn't taken Stats. >O.O<
