    pregnancy help...

    Ok so I'm in middle school and one of my good friends just got pregnant from a guy 4 years older than she is and who she hardly knows and he is probly going to juvie.She's been going through a tough time and all and a lot of her best girl friends have been talking **** about her and stuff.I'm almost positive that the guy that impregnated her will not help out or anything and will just ditch her. I'm sure if I tell my parents about it they won't let me hang out with her anymore but she's so misserable I can't help but try and cheer her up. I'm probably her best guy friend and I don't know if I should step up to help or just lay back and let things take it's course without getting in the way and without screwing up my own life.

    I know it's retarted and stuff and if you guys don't care just delete this just I'm a little confused right now.

                  Ya she said she's going to have it, but she is being retarted and not even listening to people who say she needs to think about what she's going to do after she has it. She thinks her parents are going to take care of it for her, but she hasn't even talked to them since she told them that she was pregnant. She avoids them as much as possible. It also doesn't help that she feels sorry for the guy because he's going to juvie and she doesn't want him to so she's trying to lie herself out...

                      Unless your friend is 18+ (and probably still even if she isn't), the guy was probably using her just for sex. =/

                      Having the child will blow her life, but if she wants it, you can't stop her.

                      Hasn't it occurred to her that raising a kid takes just a bit of money?

                          You have to respect her decision, but at the same time, talk some reasoning into her. She can put it up for adoption if she does not want to have an abortion. Tell her to think about not only her own fate, but as well as the baby's. It is not fair to the baby that he/she will have to grow up without a father or a well-cared for life.

                              But seriously, the baby is a bad idea. Accident + no father + young + no support = bad. Talk her into getting an abortion. If she wants it because "it's another living thing", it isn't yet, but it will be if she goes through with it and it will have a terrible life because of her.

                                  Talk to your parents about it. You say that they'll keep you from seeing her, but I don't believe that for a second (she is, after all, a friend in a time of need). They'll probably be able to help you more than we could.

                                      I've tried talking to her... It just doesn't work. She'll only talk to her best friends but they're just turning the other way. I've tried talking to them but the pregnant one used them. They all had a sleep over and she only went there so she could sneak out and have sex with this guy. They feel really betrayed, and I can see why but they can't even talk to her because they're so disgusted.

                                          That's her fault I guess. The best thing to do would be to put the baby up for adoption. There are organizations that take care of the whole adopting process.

                                                  Well, it's a shame that happened so young.

                                                  But yeah, I grew up not knowing my father at all because he passed away when I was very young. I can tell you right now, the baby will be the one who suffers most in this situation-more so than the girl. I'm not saying she should or should not have an abortion, but you have to imagine what this kid would have to go through.

                                                      Sure, it's possible, but that risk also exists for grown women. If she's a normal, healthy girl she probably doesn't have much of a risk for what you're describing.

                                                      Her body says it's ready to get pregnant, which means it's also ready to have a baby.
