You're less impaired for decision making being stoned than you are after having a few beers. There's a difference if you're ridiculously enormously blazed, but that's not what I'm talking about, and that's not what I do, nor is it what most people do, nor do I condone it, nor is it responsible.

Stoned people are mellowed out, and usually wanna sit down and chill. Stoned =/= stupid, in any way whatsoever; that is a colossal misconception. If someone is stupid when they are stoned, it's because they were stupid to begin with.

When I am stoned, I usually sit or lay down and listen to music. You're many times more perceptive and comprehensive while you're stoned, so you can hear all the intricacies in complex music very easily. I sometimes focus on other art forms (or make stepfiles, as it's easier to hear musical details), and occasionally if I'm feeling less creative I watch TV or a movie or sometime and take a load off. It's relaxing.
Please tell me how I'm harming myself or society, I sure am curious. 8)

First off, I have been high before. Not to the point of being blazed, but yeah, i was braindead (in the metaphorical sense) that day

Second, i'd like to see you cite your sources when you say this stuff.

Third, I honestly don't care what you do to your body, but it IS a gateway drug (and i've definitely seen people go from pot to **** like shrooms, acid, etc) and from my observation it can be indirectly dangerous.

I've done acid, and I plan on doing shrooms. Neither of them are hard drugs at all, and both are fundamentally harmless (when done properly).

I never plan on touching coke or meth or heroin. Those are what you were looking for. Those are hard drugs. Dumb people do them.
Also, cigs and alcohol are WAY more of a gateway drug than weed, not to mention that weed wouldn't be nearly as much of a gateway drug if people knew the truth about it and it wasn't compared to coke and meth so much.

And, my sources? How about the dozens of episodes of smoking marijuana in my past, and the many stoned people I have been around?
If you were braindead, you probably smoked too much. I can get nicely stoned with a couple hits.

You're observations don't mean jack. Just because you've been around them and seen them and actually done it make you a medical expert. You don't know the internal effects of what pot does to their bodies when you're around them when their stoned, do you?

And as i said before, just because cigs and alcohol are worse, doesn't justify marijuana being a gateway drug. Cigs and getting drunk (having a beer is usually fine because it isn't very potent) are just as stupid.

Yes, I do. I made a couple posts about that before which you blew off.

And no, my observations are very relevant. Just because those particular observations don't say anything about the internal effects doesn't mean they don't mean anything, especially considering that at the time I made them we were talking about the external effects.

The external implication is that you're STONED. Your judgment is IMPAIRED after taking a few hits or puffs or whatever you want to call it.

It's bad for your health and you haven't shown me one credible source yet to back up your claims. Why should i take anything you say seriously?

You know very well that your judgement is not severely impaired when you're only mildly or moderately stoned.

Notice I said "severely." Your judgement is slightly impaired, but if you're responsible and in a secure place there is nothing to worry about. How can you argue with that? You can't possibly honestly think that because someone who's chilling in their basement gets a little stoned they're gonna decide to go drive a car. Not to mention that you don't lose your knowledge or personal morals at all; if you are a person who knows well not to drive while stoned, you won't.

If you want support for this claim, ask other people who smoke pot. There are plenty around these forums who could back this up.

I've already told you what's idiotic about it. It impairs your judgement, leads you to do stupid things, it's a gateway drug, the list goes on. Medically, it quadruples your chances of getting a heart attack, short term memory loss, and impairs your immune system, among the long list of health effects. That's why it's stupid, because you're crippling your body so you can be "extra relaxed" for a while.
