Seriously, this is one of the more moronic holidays to ever crawled out of the ass of American pop-culture. I'm in 3rd Block and ALREADY pot-heads, drama queens, Black people, etc, are talking about it. If someone asks me if I'm going to celebrate, just because I have dreads, I'm gonna **** them up.

Actually Hebrew annointing oil was potent with cannibis flowers. Kings and prophets (including Jesus) got stoned, and they were "possessed with the spirit of the lord." Not to mention how much cannibis has been used in so many other religious rituals throughout the history of mankind. I'd say it's definately, literally, and unarguably "holy."

The only REASONABLE celebration for this day is that at my high school, and at most, I'm sure, April 20th was Senior Skip Day.

I think it was a Sunday the year I graduated.

I'd say that the picture linked to above is bogus and propaganda.

At one point, it says that reefer causes chromosome damage and tumors.

And yes, drugs are good when used responsibly. Just because you don't know anyone who can use them responsibly and have a good time like that, doesn't mean that drugs are bad. "MARIJUANA RUINED MY BROTHER'S LIFE AND NOW ALL HE DOES IS SMOKE POT ALL THE TIME"-- that's your brother's (insert other person with whom you have a good relationship where it applies) fault ; he was irresponsible, gave in to it, and generally not a strong individual.

PS "agression and hostility"? Yeah, ok. The only people who are hostile while high are people who are hostile when they aren't high.

Although I've never actually smoked pot, afro and rai are right. Of course it is propeganda bull****, It's against the law. They will try anyway to prevent it's use. We don't know nearly enough about he brain to say that pot definately causes brain damage. As long as you are responsible, then you'll be fine.
