I'm not saying his score is any worse, I'm just saying it would be more entertaining if he didn't hold the bar. I know it is an amazing accomplishment that makes many people including me say "Holy shit!" out loud, however, if he didn't hold the bar, it would just get an extra "Wow!". I don't get why people are getting so mad over this opinion.

If he got excited about AAAing Mario, then he quite obviously didn't get 7th in Silence legitimately. I can't think of a much bigger line between two things in FFR.

Awesome, awesome, awesome. Just incredible. Maybe not next month, maybe not next year, maybe not in the next two years even, but one day, I'm going to be as good as that. And really, does it really matter if you use the bar or not? If you score as well as he did on that song, then people are going to automatically say "F*cking awesome." They're not even going to care about the fact that he used the bar.

*sigh* Chardish, did you not read anything I said? I've repeatedly stated that I DON'T CARE ABOUT HIS STUPID SCORE! YES, it was a good score. YES, I couldn't do better. YES, I don't know of anybody who could even come close. You're still telling me to think of his accomplishment as something that's impressive, I'm just talking about the video. The video itself is boring. I don't like videos that are just of the screen, with a static body in view.

When I'm saying that the video is boring, I'm not downplaying his accomplishment. I'm saying that the video is boring. That's all. I did not enjoy watching it. I am impressed with the score, but not impressed with the video. Your next to last sentence proves that you have no idea what is going on in my head. I'm not "resorting to criticizing the video in order to downplay" anything, I'm just criticizing the video to do just that.

And you fail to realize that the impressiveness of something is not a definite thing, it varies from person to person. I am impressed with his insane timing. I'm pretty sure I've said that plenty already. Seriously, I don't see how you people can read and respond to my posts and still not understand that I'm not criticizing the guy at all. It's like, if I watch a movie, and I found the movie to be boring or something that just didn't entertain me, that doesn't mean I'm saying every actor did a terrible job, and the director sucked, and the entire script must have been written by morons. Just saying that I wasn't entertained by any movie says nothing about what was in the movie or the skill of the people who produced it. I may go on to say those things to explain why it wasn't entertaining, or it may just because I don't like the kind of movie, despite it being perfectly well-done.

That is the case here. I don't enjoy watching a movie that is basically just proof of a score. I like watching movies with people doing crazy-looking stuff. Please, if you still don't understand what I'm saying, read my posts again and pay attention to the part where I say that I'm just not entertained, regardless of how great he is at ITG.

^^ Good post EB. I think he is trying to say that he would rather have a picture of the guy who got the insane score then a video of the guy just standing there practically motionless and watching the combo go up. A video is all about entertainment, and this was obviously not entertaining. It might have been impressive, but it wasn't all that fun to watch. Unless you consider watching numbers going up with flashing lights very fun (except when it is your bank account...), you won't be entertained by the video. Although I couldn't do that, I'm sure that it would have been more entertaining if he did not bar rape on the easy parts, and instead flailed around like an idiot with incredible timing. If you still don't understand this... I don't know what else to say...

um... this is an ITG movie. you don't need cinematography and shit. Personally I hate it when the cam leaves the screen just to show the feet. the optimum is when the cam just sits there and you can see the feet and the pad as well as the screen clearly.

Guys, complaining about the bar isn't going to change the fact that he got the score using the bar and got it on video. Stop your bitching and just enjoy the score.
