What's wrong with relying on the bar? It's there, so why not use it?
I bet you're one of those people who whines about wavedashing and chipping damage.
I watched clouds awobbly from the floor o' that kayak. Souls cross ages like clouds cross skies, an' tho' a cloud's shape nor hue nor size don't stay the same, it's still a cloud an' so is a soul. Who can say where the cloud's blowed from or who the soul'll be 'morrow? Only Sonmi the east an' the west an' the compass an' the atlas, yay, only the atlas o' clouds.
Kilga, even the phrase "relying on the bar" makes it sound bad, because it is. We all know it's harder to do things without the bar. I mean, if this kid could do anywhere close as good as that without the bar, he could be an Olympic athlete. That's why I avoid using the bar as much as possible, so that by the time I can do the harder stuff I'll do it better than everybody else. But that will be never, because I hardly ever play ;_;.
And yeah, that's the Bee video alright. Much more impressive, and more proof that the South/Central Americans are the best at these kinds of games.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
Bar raped even at easy parts. That was the stupid part. I mean, he raped for the whole thing, even during the holds with taps parts. Even with the part with hands. That said, still VERY impressive.
BEE was more impressive though I think. BEE seemed to be a lot harder. Plus PUI doubles has 10 panels. TEN PANELS. ITG singles has only 4.
VERY IMPORTANT, OFFSET ON THAT SIMFILE IS WRONG, PROPER OFFSET IS -0.015 - edit it yourself
ITG judge settings (these go in your SM folder/data/stepmania.ini):
JudgeWindowAdd=0.000000
JudgeWindowScale=1.000000
JudgeWindowSecondsAttack=0.135000
JudgeWindowSecondsBoo=0.180000
JudgeWindowSecondsGood=0.135000
JudgeWindowSecondsGreat=0.102000
JudgeWindowSecondsMarvelous=0.021500
JudgeWindowSecondsMine=0.070000
JudgeWindowSecondsOK=0.320000
JudgeWindowSecondsPerfect=0.043000
Now we'll see how good you really are. And even if you do break his score, imagine doing that with your FEET. Bar raping only helps with your stamina, NOT your timing.
EDIT: And everyone and his brother knows Destiny is nowhere near the hardest song in the game, but who cares?
He used way too much bar, proving that he has very little stamina. That can be done freestyle, you simply must have enough stamina.
As for the South/Central kids, they have more stamina then USers, it's in their blood.
I'm not saying I'm could. I'm just saying that I've seen people do hard stuff in arcades with the bar and without the bar, and without is always more impressive. I'm just saying it'd be a lot more impressive if he wasn't holding the bar the ENTIRE time.

Rofl. Fool. He has average stamina? He TRIPLE A'd PANDEMONIUM EXPERT. That is basically, the most stamina based song ever created. Can you even pass it? I know I can't, even with the bar. It requires some pretty amazing stamina...ddr/itg stamina anyway.
It'd also be more impressive on 0.5x reverse hidden, wouldn't it?
Decrying good DDR scores cause they used the bar just makes you seem like you don't know what you're talking about. Maybe it's just cause I come from Ohio, where bar raping is common and accepted, but whining about bar raping just makes it seem like you're one of those kids who read too much 10K Commotion and is trying to look like they know what they're talking about.
