i also got the wrong end of the 5-2 (it went 2-5), so i couldn't salvage my second turn by buying a nomad camp

i had a bad setup to buy silver as well, so i just started buying festivals as better silver, and having them led to me skipping nomad camp entirely

Oasis is a bad card, and here's why!

It's literally just a copper, if even that. You get +1 card and have to discard a card, aka it's a net zero, but also consumes a card. Then if you draw oasis off a non-action giving draw, it's worth even less than a copper! Not to mention it costs the same as a silver, so even if it was a copper and a half like in some best-cases, it would STILL be better to just buy a silver.

Library Watchtower Mint Counting House Harbinger and excessive card draws in small decks (to name a few) all work well with Oasis and Celery's refusal to admit this will be met with punishment.

Probably in the form of curses.

oasis has synergy with stuff, it's just been strictly inferior to other cards in a few games we've played with it

So gryggyrz & I tied with 56 (after he forgot to count his 2 points from Goons buys), and tiloco was breathing down our necks with 50 and the most aggressive Counting House strat I've seen; once again, anybody's game.
