notes:
this was a game of dominion played between people. tiloco said before the game, along with sunfan, that gardens would never be bought. A direct quote from lurker pregame upon returning from drinking ice juice was "Gardens serves no purpose in this game."
The game ended when gardens, estates and duchies were depleted. Rebuild is a disgusting card that lets players play with complete garbage and get away with it. Workshop (lol) was never bought, Smithy was never bought, Altar was never bought, and lurker bought 1 moneylender that saw very little action. Very quickly Marauder made us realize that our decks were going to be full of so much shit that Gardens might be worth a damn (tiloco got his gardens up to 4 each). Harbinger and Sage made Rebuild incredibly easy to obtain and that made the extra ruins from Marauder mean very little most of the time.

Honorary 2nd place to the trash can for finishing with 33 points, just ahead of tiloco's 31.

there's kind of a discrepancy on winning because of missed cards with transmogrify, but sunfan had the most points

wall made for some thinking about whether to buy around swamp hags at all, since that makes every curse you gain an effective -2. good number of hard pass turns to not flood our decks, with transmogrify not being a great way to dump curses and upgrade not being much better. wine merchant and swamp hag both helped out early game quite a bit though, and allowed people to forgo courtyards in favor of nobles. patrol and diplomat went untouched even though we were talking about how patrol might go well with nobles. i could see a more aggressive swamp hag strategy succeeding here since it was effectively time walking us every time one came up, and yet we weren't compelled to rush for more hags either somehow

pathfinding seemed well worth the up-front cost, and negated relics in a lot of cases. lurker's card token was on nobles, mine on upgrade, sunfan's on transmogrify

we also played another lol rebuild game around this one, what a silly card

the games last night were really, really fun

the first two especially

they featured tiloco, inD and myself all doing 3 different things that all worked relatively equally well, ending in very, very close games.

60-61-62 has got to be about as close as a 3 player game can get once the late-game rolls around

Friendly reminder to not bother with alchemy

we rolled alchemy cards in each of the first three games above, iirc

only one copy of one (philosopher's stone) was gained/bought across all three games and tiloco never got to play it

the power level of those cards just does not seem worth it when you're rolling a setup from ~anything in dominion
