But every time I get to endgame, random chance fucks me over. "Oops you have no move to make but to ruin the delicately crafted chain, now you lose." It reminds me of expert Minesweeper. Frequently, you just have to take what a random chance will give you, and it always ends up hitting me when the goal is in my sights. Since I started using this strategy, I can get to 1024 easily every time. It's trivially easy, even. But RNG always has to hit me and ruin it all.
I feel like you should be able to get a new tile added without making a move. Forcing a move to be made to get a new tile only means that random chance plays too large a role for my tastes.
lol random generation fucked me two turns in a row just now
The first one blocked me from being able to get my 2048 when I had my chain right there ready to go, the second fucked over any possible chance I had to recover. Two turns right after each other, and it wasn't even caused by me being forced to make a move. I was building my chain and it plopped the random tile right where I needed to move.
If I didn't know better, I'd think the game was using a weighted RNG that would purposely give you the tile in the worst possible location more often than random chance should. Kind of like this shit: http://qntm.org/hatetris
Anyway, I uninstalled the app I was playing this game on. Because seriously fuck that shit. I figured out how to win the game, I'm not going to bother keeping at it like this until the RNG let's me have an official win.
Yeah, it's probably me just remembering the "hits" and forgetting the "misses". In other words, it randomly generates a tile every single time a move is made, but the only ones I notice are the ones that fuck me over completely right at the end.
From the original 2048 it was rather easy to tell which numbers I'm combining - after all, it says so right on the tile.
But now with doge2048 there is such doge. What doge is 16? What is 32? Is t...
