for some reason the fibonacci one is more comfortable for me to execute and complete than the original version
The numbers are ultimately meaningless. It's all hierarchical. a+a=b, b+b=c, c+c=d, etc. And when you're working on a system to chain them together, you can play without even considering numbers at all, just thinking "this goes here, this goes here, this goes here" and everything just fits into place.
Anyway, screwing around at work and I finally just got a win on the normal game (my first win was on doge lol). My tiles were all screwed up by the end, and I was able to repair it, getting the 2048 tile back where it needed to be, but by then I had too many high numbered tiles just floating around and I had nowhere to put them. Ended up with 24812 as a score. Getting this far, I think that it's possible on this 4x4 grid to build it up as high as 8192 if a person can just not get too many unlucky RNGs. I definitely think I could do 4096 if I try enough times.
There's a few differences between the games, most notably that over twice as many inputs are required for Fibonacci compared to the original, and numbers can combine with two different boxes now (5 can go with either 3 or 8, 21 combines with 13 or 34, etc.). I agree that they're obviously two similar games with very similar strategies, but the second factor makes Fibonacci significantly easier for me by opening up more combination options when shit gets kinda tight.
Yeah. Fibonacci got pretty sweaty at some points, but if you just think about how to chain to guarantee you have another move, you will clean it up and have some space to breathe.
Never failed.

Best strat: enjoy the game, play what you feel like when you feel like it. Don't think about what you are doing or why, enjoy the gameplay, the artistry behind the stepfile, and enjoy the music.
When the game isn't fun for you anymore, take a break. It's not a job, nobody here is professional and getting paid to play and force themselves to constantly improve... it's a game.

Yeah, FFR is addicting...I don't think I'll get bored with this game unless I somehow become the best at it, which won't happen.

Oh, I didn't realize you could combine numbers like that.
I just beat the Fibonacci one by literally just rolling my fingers across the down, left, and right arrows for a few minutes. Wasn't even looking really, was reading something on my other screen then I looked back over and it's like, "you win!" orly

Hey Trixie, how does your asshole feel? Does it feel nice and stretched from how hard those jacks just raped you?
That took about... 5 days less than 2048 did. Rofl.
