Here's my two cents:

No, I do not support child armies, that's sick and wrong. But I also don't support the policing of the globe and/or meddling around in the business of other nations, regardless of how sick and wrong their government or their people may be, unless those actions directly affect the government or the people of the United States.

Additionally, sending US troops to a non-allied nation to address something that the government of Uganda has not even asked for our help for is completely ridiculous.

And while people have the right to throw their hard-earned money at whomever they choose, this charity Invisible Children has been pointed out as a C grade charitable organization, probably near the level of donating to those "Feed The Children" commercials on TV at 3AM. How much of the money is actually going toward the children, versus the amount going into somebody's pocket?

Like I said before, I agree that this is sad to see young children dying in the name of a corrupt warlord, but it is not our place to intervene. Dura lex sed lex.

What speaks louder to you? Getting people to see a movie (effectively giving IC an assload of cash), or rioting in the streets until something is done?

I'm not going to argue any of it anymore, but you do realize the action kit is full of posters and shit for everyone to take to the streets on 4/20, right?

Think about it though. Over 30 governments know about Kony and the Ugandan military. It's horrible, terrifying even, of what Kony has done, along with the entire operation.

But donating to help make "Kony famous" will not put an end to the violence. You're just throwing your money away for an empty cause. You really wanna help? Try focusing on ALL global issues then. Take for example, Greece! Greece is BANKRUPT. The citizens there are fucking SUFFERING. They don't have enough money to even buy FOOD anymore. Unemployment is at a staggering 20%, close to Great Depression Era rates, and the government does not care. THEY DO NOT CARE. Where's the cause to make Lucas Papademos "famous"?
