Well well, since some people seem to know so much:

1) WHAT THE HELL DOES "Hands" DO?! Is it used in ANY version of the game?
2) What does the setup tab in the inventory do? Nothing seems to go there...
3) Do you get more etc storage in the 3rd job? I figure thieves probably do, but I'm wondering about mages....
4) The Ludi PQ looks cool. Those guys weren't even level 40 yet and they could hit the boss, so you think a level 40 fire mage could own it up? Thought so. d=
5) jMS has 1.5x exp rates, right? If Afro plays I may get on and play with him. Higher exp + it's nighttime for them so it's empty + more stuff + I feel like it = sounds like a great idea right now

PS: You guys who said the people being 100+ is crazy. Not only do they have higher exp rates, they have more PQs. PQs make leveling so much easier, in case you guys have forgotten already.
PPS: It'd be really funny if somebody accidentally meso explosioned that boss there at the end and destroyed all that money. XD

1) Hands does nothing. It was meant to do something, but it isn't in there yet.

2) It was for Christmas letters. There were 26 letters in two colors each and 10 numbers in 2 colors each. 72 total letters and numbers. Then there were various other things as well. I'm certain you would have loved to have that in your ETC slots.

3) Don't know.

4) Maybe you could do it at 40. Good luck though. I don't even think we'll get that until you guys quit or get past 50.

5) It's 1.25x. Every 4 EXP adds one more, in a sense. Blue Snails are 5 EXP. Slimes are 12.

So, I'm a level 31 Ice mage in Bera, and it's really startin to get discouraging.

I have no idea where to level.
I don't have a party, or friends to level with.
And theres so many more levels to go!
All I want to wear is my dark Seraphis (lv60), but thats like.. miles away.

Hmm.. too bad I know absolutely 0 Japanese.

I don't know any Japanese either, but I manage to play Super Famicon Wars without anybody showing me how. (for those who don't know, SFW is the Japenese-only SNES version of Advance Wars. If you don't know what that is, well, go find out, cuz I'm not explaining) Playing SFW actually taught me some stuff (like tree) so I think playing jMS would be cool because then I'd be able to understand the things in screenshots more easily. Hell, may be I could pick up on some Japanese. However, if I ever did anything for language it'd be playing a Spanish MS. I run into so many hispanics on MS as it is, and I'm usually the only person around that can translate. I bet you've all run into hispanics, too, and just don't know it. Any time somebody doesn't respond to stuff you say, ask them "Hablas ingles?" and they'll most likely say no. Of course, one time when I said that a guy was like "I bet that's the only Spanish you know" in Spanish and I had to tell him otherwise. Knowing a language is fun!

Squeek: What purpose do guilds serve? Just to affiliate yourself with people, or is there some actual benefit? Guild vs guild battles would be cool, but I seriously doubt that can happen in MS (and can you say HECTIC?! I sure can!).

And I saw the letters and decorations and wondered if it was some event I missed or if it's just something not in gMS. Which is it, or is it both?

And does the 1.25x exp apply to things like PQs and the EQ? Like, would my solid horns be worth 625 exp instead of 500, or what?

AND WHERE IS A BOOGIE?! =O

Okay guys, I've finally decided I want to play Maple Story. All I need is a little of advice. I want to be able to use magic but not get my ass handed to me in fighting. What would be my best choice?

Sounds like you want a Page, Chromer, which means you'd start out as a Warrior.

Which means you'll suck until level 50. Here's the thing. Mages are extremely hard to start (getting to level 15 is a bitch, trust me on this) whereas warriors are extremely easy to start. Mages get really good afterwards, though, since you're the strongest for quite some time. Fighters, however, begin to lag behind everybody else until level 50 or so when they come back with a vengence and whoop major ass. My advice: Make a fighter. Get it to a decent level (20 or so at least) and see if you enjoy it. If you hate that you're not as strong, then make a new character to be a mage. Transfer money from your warrior to make it easier, and have more fun!

1) Guilds just show that you're affiliated with a certain guild. The only benefit is for the leader I think. He gets 5% of all the money that the followers pick up. Guilds are NOT in gMS as they were just recently added to kMS and jMS. You need 100 fame to start a guild, but none to join one.

2) It was just more like a Christmas fun thing. They may do it again during the holiday season.

3) No, the EXP gain from things like quests and trading in horns is set. It's the EXP gain from monsters only. But believe me, it's way too awesome for words even for just that. Think of it this way: Holy Symbol is a skill that gives 150% normal EXP for being partied. Therefore, 1,000 EXP becomes 1,500. But wait, it's jMS, so you get a 125% boost on that, so it's really 1,875 EXP. BUT WAIT! If you use the Cash Shop in jMS, you can buy a 2x EXP card! During the times those work, you get an additional 200%! That makes it 3,750 each time you get that 1,000 EXP.

But honestly, nothing can beat the kMS test server, even though it's closed-doors.

Personally, I think if gMS gets a Test Server, there won't be anyone playing the official version anymore.

Maple sea recently got cash shop, does it have the 2 x exp card?
