A little late, but I'm starting up the game now. I'm trying to pick a class but due to my knowing nothing about this game as of yet I'm resorting to this thread.

I want to be either Ice Wizard, Page, or Fighter in the end, but I don't know which would be most powerful since I have no idea how this game works yet. -.- Any suggestions?

I can't help you there, I've never really compared the classes. You're gonna wanna decide before you start playing, because to be the most powerful, you need to start putting all your points towards your goal early.

If you don't think you're going to be playing all that much, go for a mage, since they rock everyone else in the lvl 20s. On the other hand, if you're commited to playing for a longer time, just find a guide of all the classes to figure out what kind of attack style you want.

Ugh. My problem is that I like owning things with swords, but I also like using magic. Therefore, I would think that Page is a good choice, but the usual cost of being able to use both swords and magic is that both skills suck more than if you just picked one.

Therefore... I'm stuck and need suggestions. XD I will be playing a long time, I think, Pumble.

There are some great, in-depth guides there about each class and their stregnths (did i spell that right?) and different skills. This should help you choose a main character.

So there are GameFAQ guides. I thought about it, but then I thought, "Free RPG? Nah..." Thanks though. I'm reading now.

EDIT: Alright. It's either Page or Ice Wiz. Question though - if I make a character that is to be a Page, should I distribute points equally into Intelligence and Strength?

Pages don't use magic. The only characters that use magic are mages.

However, it seems that all characters have skills which use MP in someway.

Even though they all use MP, it's better to not invest in INT unless your character is a mage.

Alright. Played for an hour, and now I'm level seven. Going to be an Ice/Lightning guy. My character is Niikos if you see me, and I'm in Bera where all the cool people go.

In other news, I bought some Garnet Ore from some guy who said it's good for 500.

Did I get ripped or is there some use for that?

Pages do use magic, but they still do not add to Int. Their third job skills are Charges. They enchant their weapon with elements and get the same 1.5x multiplier that Magicians get. Then, they can release the charge and do a massive hit with Charge Blow.

Tokzic: while you won't be able to use that for quite a while, you can sell it for about 1k most of the time, so I suppose you got sort of a good deal. But from now on, you probably shouldn't go around randomly buying ores unless you need them to make something.

In other news, I hit level 35. Yay.
