I just picked up the sheet music, and I am astonished that this file is at the actual speed at it was written, =69, i.e. 138 bpm 24ths, which is about exactly this.

And that also means you shouldn't have sped it up, thankfully

Yeah, sorry about the midi's. With WWE, I was trying to stay with Tass' wishes, and not just using the best sound I could find. Same actually goes for sonata quasi as well, both are by the same midiist.

Mephisto waltz was my first attempt at actually making a midi, and I hadn't figured out all the ways to contour it and make it sound relatively human yet.

      sorry = /

kk but making music for your own file is nice anyways.

then do you want ingame credit for it (like Franz Liszt / Xandertrax)?

just so you know the correct syntax would be something along the lines of

What stargroup said would be right, since I kinda fooled around with the connection to the end. If it isn't too much trouble to change.

                        well let's discuss about genres.

Starwolf - will be in Arcade
Beethoven Virus - can be in Classic
bmv578 - style is dance/rave but I like it being in classic considering the original.
                        Chaos Japan - Arcade maybe?
CSGS - will be in Misc
PC1 anti ares - I personally don't see a big problem, need more opinions (arcade-like can be a reason for arcade)
Jazz and Pops for Funk - I don't think those are very similar to Funk, it depends on people's opinions.
                        anime (pop) - mostly dance

                          Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread

                          Think Funky Jazz.

Piano Concerto 1 was used in a Pad Pack. Thus it should be in Dance.

bmv.578 is more techno than classical even if it uses a piano. If the original song is used in the game, then it should be in classical.

Piano Concerto 1 contains songs that are recognizable to the point that they're easily identified with a game.
eg. Kirby, songs from other rhythm games.
                            I argue for Arcade.

Right, here's my opinion on these songs:

Starwolf: yes, arcade - Starfox is a very well-known Nintendo game
Beethoven Virus: no doubt should be in the classical section; this song is practically the third movement of the well known Pathetique
bmv578: genre is "progressive" and does have a rave-classical mixture, but just like Classical Insanity, general theme of song should place it in the classical section
Chaos Japan: I didn't know this came from a game...?
                              CSGS: agreed
anti-ares: song is definitely a medley of various songs; several from rhythm games, but the fact that there's mainly a big kirby theme as well should place the song in the arcade section - many songs should still be quite recognized amongst video-gamers

Jazz and Pop for Funk section? NO - these are all very distinct and separate music genres and are in no ways similar
Anime stuff: dance section is probably the most encompassing section, other than misc.
