Ok... this new song RATO is a complete dump that should never have been put into the game.

Be that as it may, it's an imposing, frightening dump that manages to impress people if you can pass it.

Very cool, but pretty silly song.

I'm not sure what to think of it.

I'd be alright with RATO dumps as long as the music was intense and it didn't feel like you were trying to squeeze every possible arrow into it.

Wow, lots of bad files have been added to the even so far, the only one's i've liked are Halogen's, Moonlight River and "Hey, Ladies". Can we stop getting dump files and start getting something worth playing please?

Edit: The Leory Jankins one is funn i like.

Yea it's getting sort of ridiculous. I like the Virt stuff we have in there, but besides those, Brandish Headless, and Toxiferous Dystopia, it needs to stop.

Also, The Lion's Dance is not a 5. It's at least a 6.

RATO is the biggest piece of trash file I've seen accepted to FFR, I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea how that got past the judges.

The rest of the files that have been added for FFRmas have been really good. Across Rooftops, Night and Day (was that this event?), A World of Piano, Brandish, Toxiferous, even that I hate the 80's song are all really good. We Wish you a merry christmas was especially cool, and Church Bells is awesome because its Xi and I love Xi.

Dead and Direct has some weird patterns, but the sync is dead on so I'm not complaining.

Still haven't FCed, mostly due to odd lag tonight. I'll get it tomorrow.

it's not a good place to put stream; it's kind of out of the way and unclimactic, it's not an energetic part of the song BLAH BLAH BLAH etc

I know they're 32nds, I was just saying that right when I heard the song I thought of 24ths.

I just don't like that fact that anything that should be a hold in RATO turns into a 64th roll. I mean I know, I know, there are no holds in FFR; ergo, you don't step the hold. You certainly don't turn it into a roll. No.

Other than that, eh... it's too technical to make any other judgments about. I'm not going to try and talk about how bad it is because I'm not going to sit and analyze. What I DO know, however, is that the rolls are pretty... not there.

layering technique for dead and direct:
rule 0: if a burst comes up I step only the burst and ignore everything else
main part 1: track one is hi hat or snare, track two is bass drum
slow part 1
main part 2: same as main part 1
main part 3: track one is vocals, track two is bass drum or snare
slow part 2
main part 4: track one is melody, track two is bass drum or snare
etc

I'm pretty sure that's how I did it
