The song is given to you. Everybody in your group steps the same song.

You can make the chart any difficulty you'd like we just ask that they're all put on "heavy" rather than beg, easy, challenge, edit, etc. it was mainly a thing for conversion.
Songs are provided to each group, you're all competing on the same song. There will be a specific batch in the batch sub area to submit to.

Depending on how much interest/signups we get we'll split people into groups. Each group will be assigned a song with a pre-made .sm file set up for you.

I'd be in if there was a pool of songs and I knew that I wouldn't be forced to chart some shit song I don't like that the person who decides songs really wants charted or something.

tbh it should be only unique songs, whats the point of making 80 charts for the same song lol

my point is that its a ton of effort making a file, so if people are gonna make dozens of files, wouldnt it accomplish more if tons of new songs were charted?

but whatever to each their own, personally i don't want to compete vs tons of people on one file but maybe some people like it

I mean, I get your point and it's totally ok for you to not want to participate obviously, but that's simply what a Stepcon is. It's not like we're low on batches at the moment, so imo it's very ok to have this event (plus it's a whole lot of fun to step things out of your comfort zone for once).

Lmao, anything I really want charted I chart myself so...

I choose songs that have a style that allows for variety tyvm. That way we get many different interpretations of it. If you just want to chart something then do it and submit to the batch, I don't understand why you're coming in crapping on the contest when this is how it's been done in the past and people enjoy it.

You can use sm to chart it if that's your preferred method, just remember FFR cannot support holds, rolls or stops so your file cannot have those in it.
