I completly redid the ending on Skyfire Ace.

although come to think of it, if you're not accepting random generic files anymore that basically knocks out almost everything that I ever had to judge lol

well, lets look at past batches... you've wound up with 35 or so files being +d out of 150. so let's say 20-25%, roughly. with about 40% of total files being passed to me to judge, then me accepting about half of those.

i've been pushing for a while to get less files accepted, so if you take my pushing for more strict judging PLUS a new judge who appears to be stricter than the old judge (Rebirth +d SO MANY FILES!)... you wind up with less files getting to me.

BUT. i suspect that i'll be accepting a higher percentage of the files passed to me. So 133 files in this batch... that means that 20% would be around 26-27 being queue'd. I still suspect we'll have about 20 files queue'd from this batch.

Reasons why this batch is far lower than normal though:
-New and stricter judgments
-Cap of submissions from many users, although not so much for the more respected guys
-Less to no files from guys like EW, ESM, S_B, Hammy, etc. EW and ESM alone usually would account for 10+ files in each batch.
-A break of 6+ months means almost all the files submitted are new. Very very few resubmits from previous batches. And that means crappier files that haven't been reviewed and given suggestions for improvements. Acceptance % will go up as +? files get resubmitted and accepted in future batches.

It's all fairly logical as to why this batch will only have 10-15% accepted. It is a bit annoying though, as I am waiting on adding a bunch of achievement tokens and purchased songs... and I was hoping for a lot of files out of this batch. Which doesn't seem like it'll happen. Then again, it's possible through randomness than the 1st 40 files are mostly crap, while the past 90 are much better.

yeah most likely dumps. I find it difficult to see the judges being strict without conforming everyone. on the other hand most people are incapable of anything innovative anyways XD

innovation isn't that important IMO, although it's nice of course.

just well-layered/pitch relevant files or files with interesting rhythms would be enough for me, as a player. I wouldn't call that sort of thing innovative, just high-quality.
