basketball: have you had RELIABLE people test these files? people like dore, macgravel, rebirth, hi19, etc etc etc.
PLEASE don't just send me stuff that you did in an hour or two and didn't think twice about. not saying that you are, because i've yet to play ANY of your files... but i'm just going off of the past trend of other newer simfile artists who have sent in a bunch of files all at once... generally, they aren't very good.
i'd much rather you send in 1 masterpiece vs 7 mediocre files that are all in the Needs Work or Needs Tweaking category.RIPComment

you fall under the same category as Basketball. you've sent in a bunch of files... but i've yet to play any of them. take the same advice i've given him.
i'm going off of some others... best examples are rednanaki and cyanite. both will likely admit that they submitted a TON of files right off the bat, and every single one of them was Needs Work or worse (MAYBE 1 Needs Minor Tweaking). so from there, they had to go back, take our advice... re-submit. many of their stuff is on 4+ revisions and still rejected, but they both ARE getting some of their stuff in now.
so... like... i'm not going to tell you not to submit stuff. i just would rather not have my time, shash's time, jx's time wasted. i'd rather have you have other people test your files first. i'm getting sick of people posting "oh man, yea. i knew like 10 minutes after i sent that in that it was crap". well... why didn't you TELL me that so i didn't have to play it.
i don't MIND being the one that teaches you how to make simfiles.... i'm just rather not have to do it. because, really, it is a waste of our time, and it delays us getting the batches out.
so, i hope i'm not sounding too much like an ass, or what not. but i have said stuff like this before. in my perfect world, every file submitted would be queueworthy. that isn't going to happen... but i'd REALLY like it for 1 person to not submit 10 files and have every single one of them be crap. there isn't a need for it. start slow, and build up. just because rebirth or hi19 or exagon or silver_brian are submitting 5+ files in a batch.... they're getting them queue'd, for the most part.

no, not really
ive submitted other songs into the simfile DB and got alot of positive feed back, so i felt i was ready to start sending in stuff for the game.
i feel my files are really good, going great with the music....

Unfortunately, the tastes of the people who give comments on the file database are really, really loose. I've seen people leave very positive comments and good ratings on files that would get flat-out rejected if submitted to us.
Not to say that your files will necessarily be bad or anything, but our standards are a lot higher than that of the simfile DB users...so yeah, don't put too much faith in their judging ability.4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!

NO! files that are available for public distribution are automatically disqualified for consideration of being on FFR.
and i'd even go so far as to say that you if INTENTIONALLY did it, we'd ban you from submitting files to FFR for at least a few months. do it again, permanent (hint, hint blazze).RIPComment
