no! don't **** with the gap yourself. please. all you'll do is screw up the timing in SM to be off... which will likely get your file rejected. OR... it'll then later **** up my timing when i go to change it manually when i'm adding it to FFR.

the batch is up to march 28th, IIRC. the next batch will be march 28th until like... this coming sunday. or monday.

and in other news.... i put together the 1st section of the next batch, which won't officially close until the current batch gets updated in this thread.... 89 emails. 74 files in the batch. what happened to the other emails? about TWENTY FIVE of them contained files with improper formatting.

is it REALLY that hard to follow my formatting guidelines?

-zip or rar file... folder inside that is in the "Song Name (Username)" format [nowhere does it say to include the artists name, or any other variation of how to include your name... username, after song name, in paranthesis].... inside the folder are files. NOT another folder. NOT a .smzip file... an mp3, a dwi, and possibly .sm, .old, and/or graphics files.

that's it.

Are graphic files necessary? I'd have made some, but seeing as how FFR doesn't usually use all those graphics, I figure I'd just send in the itg, sm, and mp3.

graphics are NOT needed. just saying that some people include them.

BDN: whatever that was, it was just some error in the sending of the file. you CAN have multiple songs in the same zip, as long as they all go into seperate folders.

Pop... yea, it's ok. that's a 2 second fix vs a 30 second fix.



also... for those who are confused... here is a picture of what it SHOULD look like:


dwi & mp3 as the files... no smzip file. the path is ONE level deep... not zero, not two, not fifty. and the name of the path is "Song Name (Username)". perfect.



finally... up to 79 in the batch. writing up another post with about 1/3 of the queue updated.

Bike Theif by bluguerrilla - overstepped in parts, under in others. V4N & Rebirth's is better
Blue Sky by pokelda - repetitive, not a great Sharpnel song, patterns could be better, beginning a tad off
Crow Song by BDN - 12th chains (tass comment). jacks (shash comment) [tass comment: i don't remember if the chains ARE the jacks]
Dies Irae by BDN - fix up patterns to opening tune throughout
Disconnected Hazard by rednanaki - 2nd stream patterns
Happy Rainbow by bmah - no 12ths or 24ths in the file. long left handed trill.

Harry Potter Techno by behanjc - not triplets in beginning, repetitive stream, jx's is better
Harebrained Scheme by unforgiven0 - don't use only edit steps... overstepped (should be 2.5 or 3 tops). also missing notes in spots (750ish, 810ish, ex)

Broken Palace by rednanaki - repetitive, are there really 16th streams in the music?
Blue Noah by rednanaki - 24th trills, 32nd roll, stream patterns
Beautiful Synergy by macgravel - rhythms (16ths on 24ths). shash's and dore's are both better
101 kittens by stargroup100 - inconsistent sounds stepped, offsync, 24th jacks, 48th trill

Moonearth by damanwithdaskillz - stopped at 1st 32nd roll. jaks, YNS, flow (tass). Jacks, YNS, quit out before finish (shash).
As vivid as possible by adlp - jack near beginning, bpm is wrong
Disconnected Hazard by Vote4Nixon - wrong bpm, understepped, bad overall
Eiffel 65 'Blue' remix by blindreper1179 - 12th jacks, flow is awful, notes going to wrong part of music, bpm
Flash by ccssnes - bpm is clearly wrong, not even going to play (Tass). Horrendously boring, wrong BPM, repetitive (Shash).

Cosmis Orchestra by jx - discuss [tass had small issue with the 24th trill, shash +'d]

also... tass ignored 3 files in the batch: vertex beta by V4N (obvious reasons), PGO by pokelda (obvious reasons... resubmit for st patty's 2008), We Met Dat Night by MooMoo_CowFreak (permission from Vospi deny'd).



EDIT: people who are submitting their 1st file..... PLEASE get multiple RESPECTED people to test your file. almost every rejected file is by a 1st time submitter, or extremely new submitter.
