Augh! The converter I have doesn't work. It cuts out the first second or so out of the song and ruins the sync. Do you have any problems like this with your converter Tass?

Google a program titled "dbPowerAmp". I use it and it works wonders. You'll have to download an OGG codec, but it's free and the program will tell you where to get it from. From that point on, any music files you want to convert can be converted by simply right-click the file and clicking "Convert".

so which do you want? i'd be more than happy to delete every file you've ever sent me and be done with it.

Fine, if it matters enough to the point where you'd rather delete all my queue files instead of taking a simple request to not let my files be drastically limited to the audience, then just forget it and add songs as tokens if it means that much.

I think the point Tass is trying to get across is that you are lucky to have your songs put up in the first place, Weather its a token or not shouldn't matter, as long as its in there you are adding to FFR and its vast amount of songs.

So what if its limited, that means that the people who actually matter are playing it, instead of the people with no common sense. Honestly I would love my song to be a token, I want the ability to have to work to get my own song I think it would be cool.

But lets not make an argument over it.

the point of it is.... it DOESN'T matter at all to me. i'm going to add whatever songs i want, wherever i want to add them. i DO try and be aware of which songs i'm adding to token songs, so that i get people with fewer songs in the queue to not have token songs, and try to add more rebirth/hi19 songs to token. both to help the other authors get public files and also to clear the queue of rebirth/hi19 files.

at the same time, i'm not going to say that any one author will NEVER have a token song. that isn't fair to all the other authors who likely want the same thing. about the one thing i will take into account is if someone SPECIFICALLY wants their file to be a token... i'll likely do that, since it is the opposite of the norm.

which led me to the statement of... if you're so hellbent on not having a file of yours be a token file (which i can't or won't promise to at all), then the only thing i CAN give you is to remove all your files from the queue. then you won't have to worry about any of them being tokens.

I just don't understand why simfile authors can't choose to not have a token file if they don't support it. Even if it's "unfair" to the ones who want the same thing, I don't see why they can't have it as well. It's their files, they spent the time and worked hard on them, so they should at least get some say as to whether or not they're going to be drastically limited to people who play some scavenger hunt to find it.

Apparently not, though, which is fine. I'm not complaining about the fact that a few of my songs might wind up as tokens, I'm complaining about the overall attitude over this situation. The whole "my way or no way" dictatorship way you're reacting to this seems ridiculous IMO.

its actually the exact opposite. i'm keeping everything fair and level for everyone, with no favorites being played. and if you aren't willing to keep with that "communal" attitude, then you can leave.

I understand you're trying to keep everything fair, I'm not trying to go against that or anything. My comment on you being "my way or no way" is the fact that I either have to have a few of my files be used for a system I don't support or really enjoy, at all, or just have all my files deleted and not worry about it in the future. If that's fair for the community as a whole, then fine, leave it be.

I was just asking if it was possible, I have no clue why you even had to bring up that you could just delete my files in response to a simple request. It could have just been "no, and here's why", which was essentially what happened when Doug responded, and I'd have been fine with it. I have no idea why you had to respond with such a negative, overbearing attitude, and that's the main problem I have right now.

If you want your files to reach more people then make more files.
If you don't want your files to have a chance of being token songs then don't submit them at all.
If you're just complaining about Tass then do it behind his back so we don't have to read about it.

Also i'm working on a song by Drugstore Cowboy so that'll be sent in in the near future, maybe a week or so. I'm trying to do one at a time, so i'm waiting on the batch to pop up. Sense i might have to go back and work on 4-12+1

If I'd thought about this, I would have requested my CIA v2 not to be a token, since the point was to allow the noobs to play CIA Rave. But whatever, it's coo~

All v2 songs have to be tokens anyway (since purchased is broken), so there was really no way around that.

I was going to say the same exact thing! I would love for people to have to find a token to play my song, and I don't care if only 4 found it. But I would have the joy of trying to find my own song, hahaha.
