I saw a flyer on a bulletin board at school asking for high-functioning aspergers/autism people to participate in some kind of experiment, and all I could think was, that sounds like a great place to meet girls.
isn't the batch a bit behind now? they are effectively doing 60 files a month right now, if im not mistaken ,since it's 120 files every 2 months.
Don't mix up periods and batch limitations: periods simply control how many files people are able to submit, and has no implications on how fast the batch will actually fill up. This current batch has files since mid-July. So there's no "catching up" in that respect since there's no such sort of deadline for any period.
I've been collecting the files and I want to remind everyone that there is a standard for submitting your files:
1) Naming Your Folder
Put your song title first, then followed by your username in brackets (regular or squared brackets, don't care too much).
- NOT the other way around. e.g. (Exampleguy) My Song
- no need for additional info beyond those two things. e.g. My Song (Exampleguy) [ffr edit]
- no need for enclosed brackets (???) around your name. e.g. [My song (Exampleguy)]
- naming convention on the zip/rar file not as important as for the song folder. You need to put your username in the folder's name, not just the zip folder's name.
2) Resubmissions
Very few resubmissions actually had [Resubmission] noted on the folder name. Put [Resubmission] preceding your song name, followed by your username. e.g. [Resubmission] My Song (Exampleguy)
3) Song Names and Artist Names in the dwi/sm
This isn't overly important, but it would be nice if you guys take note of a few things:
- Avoid "unknown artist" as the artist name. That's not the artist's name.
- You don't need to put your username in the dwi/sm. In fact, some judges prefer to have that info excluded for sake of reducing bias.
- And please, don't put your username as the song title and the song name as the subtitle! (yes, there is one instance of that in this batch)
Note that I've corrected the titles for some folders which didn't follow convention. After a second count, it appears that there was room for a couple more files, so I've added them in. Please refer to the first post of this thread to see what is the first file of the next batch.
It also appears that all of MrGHosT's submissions turned out to be DDR songs in disguise. The email was clearly to troll, so MrGHosT (i.e. intensez, ferrari) will be banned from submitting files until further notice.
Finally, if you have any questions or concerns regarding this batch or any of your files, please let me know.
