The Stepmania Leaderboard

I'm not sure how many people would actually care about this or think it's a necessary idea, but whatever. And I'm not saying I'm going to actually do anything, I just want to hear your input.

I thought it would be cool to have a privately run ranking system for Stepmania, similar to the one used on FFR. To a certain extent, everyone knows a little bit. For example:

Linus> Banditcom
Everyone> Sinjin
Nima and Reach> Everyone

I'm thinking a list of the thirty or so SM players who post here that are at least semi-good. Off a vague guess:

1. Nima
2. Reach
3. Linus
4. Arch0wl
...
6. Banditcom
7. Origamikid
8. Moogy
...
21. Sinjin
22. Kefit
23. LD

Now, I realise Stepmania is such a diverse game that this will probably never happen. The criteria is much too vague, and there would be probably be way too much dispute between the four-fingered players and the indexers, etc., etc.

And it probably isn't necessary at all. But, you know....just a thought.

Okay, a couple of people suggested splitting it into styles of play, and having one big combined list.

So...

1.Combined.
2.One-hand.
3.Index
4.Four fingers.

K... just a few things... Didn't Hyro AAA bmr's A with one hand??? And that is just insane... Shouldn't that make him higher?

Plus, where the hell is Privateer??? He is INSANELY good he should DEFINITELY be on that list and VERY HIGH UP...

There are alot of people you missed too... Jello is pretty good I guess... Evilpeer is pretty good too. Alot of others.

As for your list of styles that is dumb now... Cause most of the best players are good at all styles... I'm best with 4 and usually use 4. But I'm about the same with three and am good with index too now. I just suck one handed :P (I'm working on it).

The categories should be if anything:
1) Combined
2) Four fingers and/or Three fingers
3) Index
4) One Hand
5) Penis

interesting idea... I'm flattered that I'm on your guesswork list... anyone looking into possibly creating a ladder? or maybe simply discussing an approximate list of the "top 20" or sumthing? just curious to see a list...

I'm probably not the best judge, but I'd say you (fusion) are somewhere in the area between the elite tier and the tier composed of me, bandit, evilpeer, etc... no idea what number rank that would give you...
