K, sudden change of mind here but I don't really care. I doubt that very many people care about this anymore, it's getting nowhere. All Stepmania is is a god damn GAME. Roxor Games had no intention to make this a competitive game, it was just a DDR clone with enhancements and new features. Stepmania was just a fun game that people liked to play, but people who joined from about june-august and on turned it into one giant competition to see who could be better. These people turned the game into something that it's not. Jello's right, all it does is cause unneeded bullshit. If some of the old members like LlainFactor and Teknique came back and saw what the FFR community has turned to, they would be pissed/disappointed. Stop the fighting, stop the bullshit, and shut the fuck up. You're all acting like a bunch of retards now.

The REASON I play Stepmania so much is the competition factor, the community, exchanging scores, trying to one-up each other, etc.

You're sounding like Arch's post about 4-finger stepfiles and using more than 2 fingers, blah blah blah. The game and community evolved. It's much better than before. Competition is fun. There is drama in every competition because of the nature of competitiveness.

Hell, I'm sure Roxor would be happy to see that their program evolved in such a huge way. This is probably more than they ever dreamed of.

There's about 6 people who are really close, than there's fusi0n/Jello (I guess), and me banditcom and origami (no particular order).
There's also a lot of people under us, and are fairly close. jimerax.. kenzya.. etc. But for sure, the community is one of the main reasons I go to the FFR forums.

I put like 0 effort into this game and you say I'm like what, 6th? 7th? something like that?

The people that impress me most are Reach, Jello, and aperson because they can be good at SM and a crapload of other things too. Arguing about a game in which only involves four buttons and you can't even truly prove you did something without a device that costs hundreds is pretty lame. You can't even make money off of it, there's been like one SM tourney and the prize ended up being like $40 or something. To argue THIS MUCH about who's better is like arguing about who's better at blowing saliva bubbles or something.
