Right, only people interested in computers store files on hard drives.

I think people who partition their hardrives are though.

12.5TB total on my main workstation. The SSD's are pretty much filled up with design programs and Windows, (256gb total), and about 1.8TB is filled up with 3D files, about 50gigs of music, a few movies, gigantic sound effect libraries, random programs, and contains nearly every file I've ever had from my previous 3 computers.

for what do you need 12.5tb, isnt that a little overkill?

Everything I do is overkill, damnit. Haha.

Eventually I will fill up all the drives, so how is it overkill?

No not really, I have a render server, but that's for a completely different purpose and doesn't need mass storage (but it still has 6TB lol). I just tend to go on hardware shopping sprees I guess =/

Okay, ahaha, maybe I shouldn't have said that. I still remember when everything and anything I needed fit on a 2048MB hard drive. xD

So let me correct that by saying that with the 3TB hard drives you'll be set until 2022 when Blu-ray players are in thrift stores for $25 and people are trying to find ways to store their UHD Holographic movies at 100GB per clip.

I think 2TB is enough for your average person, but I know that all of my drives will be full soon, and I'll need more storage. So saying that 3TB will generally last you over ten years is a pretty extremely subjective statement.

"Oh, just my cock." Replied Foil.
"That just will not do." was keywii's response as she lunged for the scissors, pulled the blades apart, and clamped them down on the base of foil's shaft. Blood start gushing out of the wound where his penis used to be.
                          "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Yelled Foil in horror.
"Don't worry. I'm a wizard" uttered Keywii. And with that, Foil's penis grew back.
