Mac's used to have something awesome over Windows. They lost that however, so now the only thing they have over windows is they generally look minimalistic and "clean".
This same thing doesn't stop people form buying from Alien Ware either.
With that said (and having used all three for quite some time now) I feel this chart sums it up rather well.
If you had the strength, you could live.
This is our contract. In return for my gift of power, you must grant one of my wishes. If you enter this contract, you will live as a human, but also as one completely different.
Different rules, different time, a different life...
The power of the king will make you lonely indeed. If you are prepared for that, then...
That's the thing. For people who don't really know **** about computers nor care to learn, macs are amazingly convenient and fun to use. Sorry we're not all tech geeks like you guys.
My dad has always bought Macs. Our first computer back in 2000 was a Mac and he still gets them. Just cause he's a graphic designer and as far as I know most professional graphic designers use Macs. Me? I'm neutral. I like them just cause I've been using them my whole internet life. I don't mind PCs though either. I've been using PCs more than Macs for the past 4 years tbh.

most people in the world aren't making music or graphics so a normal computer or mac. whatever they want they will get because they aren't worrying about how well it will run WoW or whatever people are playing now adays. Personally, I don't want a mac, so many short-cuts with the mouse and what not, just add buttons like a normal mouse pad >_>
Totally agree with OP on this one. ALL Macs are overpriced and are pretty much for people who want to be "cool" in high school/college rather than who want a high performance low price machine. Too bad I'm not the cool kid
Also, someone posted about iPods and whatnot. In my opinion iPods are fine but really overpriced for such a small amount of space. Sure you get cool features like video and stuff but if you are buying an music player for that....why? I like MUSIC so I like Archos; up to 500GB of space and the ability (with an easy to find download or two from the site) to play ANY type of song whether it be OGG or FLAC. no conversions necessary.
I guess none of you guys get into serious music production, or art or anything of the sort.
Sure you can do the same things on a window's machine, but the best programs are not only mac-friendly, but in some cases mac exclusive.
You guys are just a bunch of snobby nerds that act like people that own Mac computers are dumb.
Well, newsflash, I've got a PC and a Mac and my Mac beats the living **** out of my PC in terms of pretty much everything. Plus, it only cost me roughly 900 more than my PC did 3 years ago
N*gga don't know bout my two years working on an iMac. I have used one and I liked it but a GOOD PC does the same as that for thousands less. Sure it looks nice but Macs rely on hype far too much. And TRUE nerds know Linux>ALL
EDIT::: In case anyone is confused I am not saying "Macs SUCK" I am saying they are great for music/art production but you also have to have a pretty large wallet to afford on. I am just arguing for PRICE. =P

Everything relies on hype you twat.
I guarantee you, you couldn't sell ANYTHING without trying to hype it up first.
Oh and if you can get a good discount (any good white collar job will hook you up with lots of corporate deals) Macs become just as affordable, my ~$3500 machine ended up costing about ~$2700.
Could I have gotten a PC for less? Yes. Am I a broke nerd that complains about how expensive the world is? No.

Wrong, BRO. If a person is looking for something whether it be affiliated with electronics or not and they have a passion for finding it they WILL find that item, whether it is in a cardboard box with handwritten descriptions or not. Hype is for people who don't know what they are looking for. Sure in the electronics world it helps push other companies ahead and attract peoples attention but if someone has their eye set on specifics then they will find it. Consider art, I know AMAZING unknown artists that I would much rather buy from than the pieces I see at art shows. Hype is not everything bro. Just like your condescending first sentence, I ain't even mad.
So you're telling me that if you produced a product, never told ANYONE about it, people would still know to buy it from you?
Good logic dude.
MEDIA hype and commercialism is completely different, but you CAN'T be a salesman without hyping up your product in some way, even if it's just showing the world (or just a few friends) what you've got
