I feel bad for anyone what tried in high school. its pointless in college and gives me a good laugh when i hear people bragging about how well they did in high school. they are totally different experiences.
Yeah, I'm a senior this year. Honestly haven't done too much for applying places, but I'm only going to apply to one college and the form is severely easy to fill out, my counselor just wants me to go there first to make sure that that's where I want to go >.> Which will be next Sunday :P Not really excited to go, I'm gonna have the same lifestyle that I do now (Go to class and stay in my dorm all day), but it's better than having to get a job, in my opinion xP
alloyus its much better than getting a job. im going to make college last as long as possible, but then again i do have my full time job over the summer that i love, but only cuz its $10/hr and the easiest job i've ever seen
i'd want to become a neural surgeon just so i can make similar stupid jokes.
"relax guys, this isn't brain surgery"
/snort
Ohmygod how I would love this.
Anyhoo, I'm not a senior but from experience, college is fantastic.
You guys will LOVE it I promise.
I think I've had the most respect for education since I moved onto college, because I got to pursue my own thing. I didn't feel it as a "waste of my time".
My dad always said "No one can take your education from you". How true that is.
P.S. Don't do stupid **** like party every damn night and get so drunk you leave a full-vomit-trail right to your dorm. Oh, and try to not sleep in class. You're paying hundreds/ thousands to just have an hour nap??? I don't find it worth the money. But then again, I can't tell you guys what to do, so do whatever I suppose.
ps the quarter system is awful wow worst thing ever
yeah I love having 3 finals a year, every 10 weeks
utter joy
I hate the quarter system too. Classes were two hours long and my mind begins to wander after an hour. I find myself a lot less stressed about school now that I'm at a school on semesters.
kmay: Trying in high school gets you into a better college.
or you can be smart and go to a community college and take the same courses as a normal college for about 40k less. only reason i tried in high school was to get NJ stars, but they got rid of it so it doesn't even matter. I didn't make it anyway.
and back to rubix's post. that or you can get a 4.0 in college and transfer to where ever you want.
Senior here as well. I'm looking at Berklee in Boston, so I really do not have to try for school, but moreover excel in my music capabilities (electric guitar). Ridiculously easy for me now that I know they don't care for ACT/SAT or grades all that much lol. All about the music, baby!
