Giggles: No. I am saying most people who believe in God are likely ignorant of much of the science we know today or simply don't understand all the arguments.

See, these are two vastly different things. The top quote makes you seem like a generalizing twat. The bottom one kinda makes you look like a backpedalling twat anyways but way less so.

I would argue that if someone accepts/understands science, they would see that there is no need to believe that a God is "responsible for it all."

I disagree. I find it really makes me feel better to have something to bitch at when my life sucks. Might as well be God. He's supposedly in charge of this shitshow.

Doesn't make it true. The concept of an afterlife might bring people comfort too, but simply wishing for something doesn't mean it will be fact because it appeases to us on some emotional level. Also quotes 1 and 2 there say the same thing.
