Also calling someone something they are isn't judgmental. It's the truth. Forming an opinion immediately of that person's intelligence based upon their speech is, though.

Do I really have to do this to you or are you going to give up now?

        Re: Swearing

I think that this is an issue of what each one of us were raised with.

If your parents never cursed and discouraged it, that can change a point of view, etc.

Shouldn't really be a surprise, though.

          Re: Swearing

Who says that swearing has to be used sparingly to make it effective? Why would I use them sparingly if I don't care about the effect it has on the words' impact? Swear words are just words. Yeah they can be over-used as any word can which I find more annoying than anything else, but if I'm not trying to make a point or have an impact with what I'm saying then what does it matter if I use them regularly?

Yeah it is quite judgmental. Every opinion that has ever been made about a person is a judgment. I'm not calling it a bad thing though. In fact, it is quite easy to judge someone. (NOTE: I am not talking about race, religious beliefs, or personal attributes, for those judgments come from sheer ignorance) Just listen to them and analyze how they act and you can come up with a judgment on that person. For example, you use personal attacks to enhance your argument, so I can judge that you are a troll. (A pretty ineffective one at that)

But anyways, I give up. Swear all you want kids. Just remember that it doesn't reflect good upon yourselves in the long run if you use them in excess. That's all I was trying to say.

Saying your judgment is true isn't good enough to make it actually true dumbass. If it is true though, it's not a judgment like whoever A2P is arguing with says. I curse because it's funny if you can pull it off. I'm a humor junkie.

                    Re: Swearing

Some people utilize cursing very well. I think as the modern age develops it is used too often, but when properly spoken, it allows a person to display a completely different character ... but when it becomes part of everyday speech... it really doesn't serve as a curse word anymore.'

I personally have no urge to swear. And as some people said, it is mostly an attention grabbing device.
