"Love" isn't meant to be a vulgar word though. It does get a little overused, I agree, but not as much as swears.

i can be quite honest when i say ive never sworn in real life except maybe once or twice when i get stung by a bee or stab myself with a nail that i say the s word or something.

i dont swear to swear.

i dont see the point, but i do agree with this first post, it loses all meaning when you swear all the time.

i only take swearing serious when im about to get gangbashed or something, or if theres a movie on with nothing but the F word.

well im not going to let someone else tell me what words are ok to say and what words are not. so i swear all the time with my friends. then the words lose this higher meaning that so many people THINK they have and they just become another word. no lesser or greater meaning than any other word i say

I'm not sure if this point has been brought up yet, but what about flipping someone off? I mean, I haven't said anything. I've simply exposed one finger while leaving the others hidden. It's so simple, yet so offensive. So, okay. What if I bite my thumb at you? how many people are going to know what that means, despite the fact that it's been around longer than flipping you off, and has the same effect? Really, swearing is stupid to get mad about. People are going to swear no matter what you do. And say you get ****, sh!t, bitch, cock, and the others banned. Okay, so we just some up with more synonyms. Get **** banned does that mean that screw is going to have to go to? Or if cock goes we have to get rid of penis? Christ, calm down the **** down about it. Oops. I swore.

Anyway. Personally, I don't swear, I can usually find a different way to exert my frustration. I see no point in using swears for other uses, there are many other, better words out there. I especially dislike degrading words... to have specific words designed to insult others is a sign of a barbaric language.
