        I think it would be better if everyone did something, erm, a bit more direct. To not talk, you have to have someone address you first. It's better, or, more widespread, if you get to do the first move. I guess you could try AGGRESSIVELY not talking to people, but that seems kind of weird.

                    My high school had a pretty large group of people participate last year. I think the cause is worthwhile but not talking is a bad way of spreading a message. Maybe there should be a day of yelling.

                        During high school, some of my friends would participate in this. It was a pretty big thing. At the end of the day everyone would go out into a field to break the silence.

                        Some of the teachers didn't support it, and would get mad when the kids wouldn't answer questions.

                        The 17th, the only classes I have are two lectures, which means I wouldn't be going to class anyways.
