I know its stupid but its somthing that happends to every guy. As much as people say no guys like to get into fights and will somtimes indirectly provoke ones...its what happends in middle school. Thank god thats over lol.

Shootings "happen". Are you saying it's okay for someone to go out and shoot someone in the gut? I mean, after all, they aren't killing them or anything. They're just causing a lot of pain.

It doesn't happen to every guy, and those guys it does happen to need to learn the life skills they need to get themselves out of such situations. And the skill is NOT "learn how to beat the **** out of people and intimidate them so much that they leave you alone" - that's PROPOGATING the problem.

In grade 7 some guy threw my binder in the garbage so i told him to pick it out then he said no...long story short he punched me then we got into a fight.

First of all, that's not entirely true. Secondly, do you know WHY it's most prevalent in middle school? Because middle schoolers are too dumb to do anything smarter/more civilized. 1) Are you french?
2) Fights don't HAVE to be a part of middle school, and those who can avoid them are better for the life experience.
3) If someone punches you, ask them if they think you're a good punching bag - you've been working on it for awhile. Or something else that shows that you are ABOVE violence. If they see that you don't want to fight, they will probably just walk away. IT DOESN'T HAVE TO HAPPEN, except in very perverted cases.
4) Young male teens who "love" to fight have mostly been socialized this way. It's not healthy, and would not happen in a society that doesn't encourage raw aggression in males.

Exactly...Really fights are dumb but where I come from if you havn't got into a fight im middle school...its rare. Boys will be dumb so really he's just doing what the rest of his age group is doing. I dissaproove of fighting aswell but you can't stop the fact that when guys go through pubrety they somtimes really really like confontations. Its a natural part of us yet it isn't somthing that is good. Its just a scrap and will blow over. If it was somthing like the guy had a gun or knife then its somthing that definatly must be stopped but now its a scrap. also after reading the rest of ur post...if somone punches you their not ganna stop exept in some stupid cases. When somone punches you it means there ussually enraged and when somone is enraged theyre not ganna stop...you can't even remember anything as I sadly have a short fuse and when somone pansed me in the changeromm UNDERWEAR AND ALL I popped him one...yes not the best thing to do but I was ENRAGED after all. You say it'll just blow over, but how about this: if you DON'T fight, there will be LESS fighting, and then there will be nothing TO blow over.

I know. I was one and I went to school in a place where fights were extremely rare. If nobody fights, then that becomes the natural thing to do.
