It is when you are able to go back to level one and replay the game as a different character class. When you go back down, you can keep one familiar and you can even send your meat and some items. However, I believe that you cannot access your items for 1000 turns. That is about all that is known and there are many rumors saying that they are even making some new quests for you class. Just rumors though!

Restart at lv. 1 with 1 fully-powered familiar. You get to keep 1 skill from your class as well.
The rest of your stuff (all items/familiars/meat) go into your closet and are unaccessable for 1000 turns (aka: Ronin)
There will be both new quests and new items. There will be more quests from the council and from the guilds.

Accordion Thief... Hmm.... Well, the only 3 I use are Polka, Phat Loot, and AAA. AAA takes 40 MP per, so that probably wouldn't be that great. So, Polka or Phat Loot. Probably Phat Loot... just because you won't be fighting all that much stuff that gives alot of meat, so getting extra isn't as good as getting extra items.

I'm going to go TT 2x or PM first... to get the Passive Empathy skill, Empathy, and Leash of Linguini... then go and get Advanced Pastamaking and Sauseworking, or whatever its called...

I think as a Seal Clubber... I'm going to take Advanced Metalsmithing with me, even though it is worthless now. Jick said he was going to impliment a bunch of new content to make it not worthless and to add in an item like Chef-in-the-box so that it doesn't use up turns either.

Another AT buff I found useful was Ode to Booze. However in ascension it doesn't make as much sense to use it, also considering it costs 50 mp to use. I would agree with Tass that the most useful AT skill to bring would be Phat Loot Lyric and 2nd time around maybe grab Polka of Plenty.

Well, we'll see what kind of changes he has for meatsmithing, because as a TT I found them useless. However the familiar skills for TT's were very good.

I haven't accomplished much yet, but I'm thinking of ascending into a PM probably like a week after asecnsion begins.

I think I will go through PM 2 times to get Leash of Linguini, and Pastamastery. I also want Advanced Saucecrafting and some AT skills too! Empathy would also be nice! So, I'm guessing I will be going through Ascension many times...

I dunno which DB skill to keep. I see that mad lootin skillz or nimble fingers are great passive bonuses, but advanced cocktailcrafting would be a great thing to have (I think) especially now that it gives ingredients three times a day. But then again, I probaly wouldn't have the other ingredients for the DB cocktails, rendering it useless.

As to class ascending, I think I might go accordian thief. Polka or Loot would be good hardcore skills to have.

Mead: If you are planning on going SOLELY hardcore... you definately want advanced cocktailcrafting, so you can make yourself l33t drinks. no TPS, so DB drinks are the best you'll get... and, you can get the ingrediants at fairly low levels...

Off topic kind of, but is there a crossbow better than the star crossbow?

No, not that I know of, especially if your main stat is moxie, and you have crossbow fever.
