You can meatsmith a chrome crossbow, which I believe has a power of 120.
Edit- Did I forget to mention that the chrome crossbow also gives you 3 extra adventures when equipped at rollover? Well, now you know.

Although I can't say exactly how ascension will affect the mall it will surely have a drastic effect. Am I right in believing that most of the people that can afford to buy the most items will go hardcore thus they won't be able to buy from the mall. So, the less experienced players going through non-hardcore (Is their a term for that?) will have cheaper mall prices?

Also, I'm wondering which familiar I should take to ascension. I have all of them except for Mr. Store and GPOAS. I'm thinking to take my BGF, but I would like to hear other opinions.

I would take the baby gravy fairy because you really need the quest items much faster. I remember it took me forever to get through the Orc Chasm because I couldn't get those dumb 334 scrolls. Just my opinion though. Take the baby gravy fairy.

Anyway, I think that I'm restricted to 20 items a day, I doubt that'll be enough to provide me with best food/drinks regardless of the 1million meat investment I put into preparation.

On another note, what are people buying in preparation of ascension? I've basically stocked up on chow meins and TPS ingredients. Anything else I should be thinking about?

Well, since I will be going hardcore, I would just want to bring a great familiar and a skill. I'm not going to 'prepare' for anything, I will just go on and do my best. However, I am trying to get the 300lb trophy before Ascension. So, just try and get all of the trophies you can!

So wait, in a hardcore ascension, instead of 1000 turns, you have to wait infinity turns to get your stuff back? So like, if you keep doing hardcore ascensions it will keep putting crap in your little stockpile, but then when you do a non-harcore you'll get it all back? I would do hardcore, but the prospect of losing everything permanently doesn't intice me. If I get it back after a normal ascension, then I'll do a hardcore run or two, then do a normal to get everything back.

Yes, so basically, you can access your storage after 1000 turns in softcore ascension, but you can't access you storage at all during hardcore ascension. Thus, after finishing a hardcore ascension, you can do a softcore ascension and access your items again.
So I may do like you an switch off between softcore and hardcore ascensions.

Well, you can always just quit out of hardcore if you wanted to. But, you get a whole bunch more new stuff, like Jick said. I think I will go for hardcore, because it is basically what I went through the first through. So, I guess going hardcore will be worth it! But I still sorta want to eat food...

I'll be doing a softcore ascension first... mostly to test run how fast I can speed run it. As such, I'll get 20 items per day, or 1000 meat instead of 1 item. My plan:

Day 1:
5 Tofu CM
3 Mr. As
1 Grogtini (no sense NOT making it a full drink, saves having to take more items)
2 Lime
2 Grog (can only drink 2 TPS drinks before getting Liver of Steel... is the max you can drink before being drunk 14 or 15? I think it is 14)
2 Shots of Tomato Schnapps (just bought these because they are 1 drunkness each, no idea what they do)
1 Imitation nice watch
2 TPBMC
1 Meat Maid
1 palm-frond toupee

After day 1, the remaining stuff for me to take out will be a key for the god I need to donate to... and all my extra meat will go to donating to boost my main stat. the +45 from the Mr As will make it cake for me to complete my quests.
With that... figuring 40 starting (then add in 40 for day 1), I'll have 80 + 85 (TCM) + 50 (TPS) + 3/4? (Shots) = between 215-220 on day 1. Then drink another TPS drink to get drunk... so day 2+ is 40 + 4 + 3 + 3 + 2 + 85 + 75 + 3/4? = 215 or so... that means that I'll be getting over 200, but less than 250, adventures per day. I will be out of ronin on my 5th day.

Anyone know how much spectral pickles give per? May think about spending a few million to buy enough to get me out of ronin in 4 days, if possible.

No idea Omega... also... HARDCORE PEOPLE WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS THEIR STUFF. At what time, it hasn't been said. My guess: lv. 15 or something... would make sense, since at 15 you'll be Ascending again anyway, why wouldn't you be able to get at your stuff then.

Well, I think we should thin out our clan, anyone who hasn't played in over a month, should be kicked out, except me older name . Now, unless these idle people have been waiting for acension, I see no reason for them to be in our clan anymore. Also, I know I read the answer to this in one of the million acension pages, but, do the clans still exist after acension. My innitial thouhgt is yes, just not to sure. Decided on going softcore, and see how fast I can acsend 10 times.
