    Goodbye Mii, Hello Home

I'm sorry but if this is what Sony is pulling out of their hats, Nintendo will be crushed. And I don't want to hear anything about Sony stealing ideas. They just took a concept and made it 100x better.

I'm not gonna lie, that is INCREDIBLE. So much stuff, and apparently free.
    Just...wow.

Wow, that is some hot stuff right there. :P Even though I didnt like the wii's mii in the first place.. wow.. :P
Pretty much why I like it, is because the nintendo internet SUCKS. Stupid friend code thing, and the PS3's home has way more things to do, and the people actually look like people.
Even though I have a wii, and don't exactly plan on buying a PS3, I really like that home thing.

The Home thing is better than Mii, but Wii is still a better system.

You make a good point, that would probably be freaking annoying. But then again there will be some other cool people on it too.

For some reason, I can see a bunch of lawsuits against Sony, just like Myspace. Online predators? It's a great idea but I think it might be going a bit too far in terms of an interactive gaming community.

Agree with lyth, looks like second life to me. It's nice but I wasn't exactly impressed. Bet you all those "downloads" cost you money somehow. Just like everything cost you money somehow with the PS3. Crush Nintendo? Its cool yea but you know what will crush sony, free online gameing, I mean Xbox is bad enough with Xbox live subscriptions, then you get PS3 free online.......but every game charges a separate fee for online. That's fcuking terrible.

Dude, I didn't know that, that really sucks.
At least Xbox live was cheap.

                          To play online?

Sony’s PlayStation Network is the PlayStation 3’s answer to Xbox Live. There’s one big difference, however; unlike Microsoft’s service, the PlayStation Network will be free to use, with no subscription fee.

Instead of this, games publishers will be free to charge their own online fees – a procedure already in place for the majority of Massively Multiplayer PC Online RPGs. How widespread this will become for online PS3 titles is yet to be seen.

If that was the case, then Resistance, NBA 07, and other games would be charging money for their services. They're not.

Also, when I said "crush Nintendo" I was meaning that if Sony continues the trend of exciting new prospects for the PS3 then the air of confusion surrounding Sony will be lifted and it will start to succeed. It won't neccesarily be a end-all to Nintendo, but it will start giving people a reason to get a PS3. Also, have you seen the new Heavenly Sword trailer?
