Sorry, but the concept of speaking vocally over long distances has existed for quite some time. One could easily argue that voice chat over the Internet ripped off the telephone's long running monopoly of that type of chatting.

    Motion Sensitivity: Wii
Motion sensitivity existed long before the Wii. Doesn't Guitar Hero's controller have a motion sensor in it?

    Home: Wii's Mii
Not even related. Once again, the Mii is ABSOLUTELY nothing like Home. If Home ripped anything off, it'd be something like The Sims, Animal Crossing, or Habbo Hotel.

    Achievements for Home: Xbox 360
Yes, earning things for achievements was invented by Xbox360. I suppose that bowling trophy I got back when I was in elementary school was ripped off from this video game system that had yet to even come out. I wonder how they did that.

Any other things ripped off? I'd love to hear them.

In all honesty, that was kinda freaky.

Reminded me of like a sci fi movie where some guy gets thrust into the future or something and is watching a presentation on this thing. Just that whole kind of freaky/weird nature.

It looks pretty cool though. However I have to agree with that whole thing about online predators and stuff.

I want to sexually molest "home" while cooking chicken on the ps3's power supply. FAIL.

the online predator stuff can be said about any online chat room or social area - such as myspace - as long you are smart enough not to put out real personal info, i think u will live .. also the argument about having no life is irrelevant - that can be said about any online video game/feature .. that is also stereotyping

i like the ps3 and i think that the home idea will be interesting and definitly something to look into .. even if the home thing is bad i will still purchase a ps3 because of certain games such as: mgs4, tekken6, and FFXIII .. also the free online is sweet

and stop flaming sony over the rumble .. really how important is a lil shake on a controller while playing?

Bull. I go on forums to talk. I go to chat rooms to chat. I would play Home if I wanted to live a virtual life - meaning something in my life was lacking to the point where I would need to live it on another medium. If I get a PS3, it will be to play games, not to socially network with people who lack the proper skills in real life.

And as for the rumble, it's pretty damn important. When I play a PS2 game that has the rumble turned off automatically, I notice it. It's something I've grown accustomed to because everythin has a rumble now-a-days. The fact that the PS3 was either too cheap to pay a copywrite fee or too lazy to develop third party is just crass.

Stereotyping, stereotyping, stereotyping ... Just because you think that someone needs no "life" to enjoy an online social feature does not mean you have to stereotype all the light/moderate users. HOME has 3-D people with virtual spaces and houses but that doesnt mean its a second life; it means that HOME is a more visual/interactive online social area. No one will force you or others to spend numerous hours on HOME or even touch HOME if you don't want too. People that will spend numerous hours on HOME do it by their own choice but to accuse everyone of not having a "life" for simply using HOME is bull**** stereotyping.

As for the rumble its your opinion. As I said, its a light feature that most people can live without.

Yes, well, all stereotypes have a hint of truth in them. That's how they come about, isn't it?
