    Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Ok so I bought all the houses for no reason and furnished them all. My Skingrad house looks awesome, so I used all the display cases there.

Soon after finishing, the game crashed. What a fitting end to the game.

I looked up all the sidequests. I've done them all. I looked up all the factions. I've done them all. I looked up all the completion goals. I've done them all. I looked up all the best items in the game. I have them all.

    Game Over.

    ~Squeek

Edit: My friend told me about 100% chameleon and how you can steal anything and kill anything and DO EVERYTHING undetected, so I did that for a while, then I go to the Imperial City Marketplace and all the NPCs are attacking the guards and I try to ask what's going on and I am unable to talk to all the people and eventually the game tries to load like 21948 places at once then crashes.

Seriously this is like the 5,000th time I've stopped playing for the day due to the game crashing. I rarely shut down the game by selecting "Exit Game"...

      hey guess what

my 360 version hasn't crashed once and i'm at 80 hours

Anyway, today I realized it was ridiculous how I had not gotten a single piece of Ebony armor and that I had already aquired my Daedric Gauntlets and Cuirass. So I found a nest of Marauders and started the hunt.

Pieces of Ebony armor found: Two cuirasses, one pair of boots.

Pieces of Daedric armor found: Nine cuirasses, three pairs of boots, two greaveseses, five pairs of gauntlets.

Wtf. WHY IS EBONY MORE RARE THAN DAEDRIC.

P.S.: I'm L28 and only like halfway through the main quest.

        Quit. Done. Finished.

Went out with a bang and maxed everything. I have 20 million HP and 255 in all the stats and abilities.

Can't believe the strength of a sword / axe maxes out at 30. That is so lame. I had that BEFORE cheating.

My last guffaw was to get my level 1 max stat character and own the arena. I turned of clipping (noclip) and just flew to the other gate while the arena announcer took like half an hour to start the fight and just punched the opponent.

That was fun for a while. Then the game crashed.

Wow Squeek, you are having quite a bit of trouble with crashing...

My Oblivion has never crashed, save for when I Exit Game, but it doesn't really matter then...

Do you have any mods on that may be messing it up?

            No.

It's just poorly-made and cannot handle my awesomeness.

It was crashing when I played normally. It crashed after I started using the console. It crashes everytime I play.

Meh. I already beat the game. Don't care anymore.

The ebony armor is so hard for you to find because its a leveld item. you start finding alot of it from bandits at level 18-20. If you want a full set do the umbra quest. It starts at the deadric shrine for Clavicus Vile. The shrine is southwest of the imperial city, in the loop made by the gold and red ring roads. you are asked to find Umbra, the sword, which is on Umbra the person.
Umbra, the person, has full ebony, includeing helm, shield, boots, greaves, gloves, shield, and cuiras. And I also sugest that you take Barbas' advice keep the sword for yourself, all you get if you give it to Vile is a stupid mask that raises you personality 20 points......

One day we'll all look back at this, laugh nervously, and try to change the subject.

                Massive bump is massive.

So I got into this game again, except now I'm playing on my roommate's XBox so I don't have my old save files. I've decided to try and max all the stats on this character including Luck and starting with Endurance and Intelligence to max out my HP/MP. One question though: I could have sworn someone mentioned that when you max out Endurance you no longer gain HP when you level up. Is this true? Should I just get my Endurance/Intelligence to 99 each until my last level up?

Pretty sure someone has told you wrong. For max health possible for your character you want to max out Endurance as quick as possible.

Okay, thanks. Luck is a pain to max out due to no bonuses. Hopefully I can pull this off.

I played 215 hours the last time I completed Oblivion but I've been considering getting back into this game. There are many things I would like to do that I haven't done yet like the Knights of the Nine missions. I never did those because the first time I tried and prayed at all of the altars I decided I wanted to do the Dark Brotherhood missions first instead. Once I finished all of those I realized I couldn't finish up KotN (and wear the armor, even though it sucks) unless I went through the trouble of finding the altars again (yes you get a map but you still have to search for them).

I would also like to play as different classes (a Khajiit or an Argonian) and add more variety to my item collection in my home in Bruma. I have a large collection of swords and staves, Armor and shields, and all of the weird things given to you or found during missions (such as the "Mother's Head").

Khajit is horrible to play as. Argonian is decent. Neither is very good in the long term though. I played once as an Argonian monk. Hand To Hand, etc. Was pretty fun for a while.

I wouldn't care about character stats if I was to play through again. Argonians and Khajiit were my favorite people to meet. So obviously Leyawiin was one of my favorite cities to explore.

I played as a Nord my first time through and didn't have any problems, I thought it was a great race overall, just not much skill when it comes to magic (but that can be fixed with some work).
