I'm on a hard losing streak. just lost 6 matches in a row and dropped 2 ranks. what's going on?

EDIT: 12 losses in a row this is absolutely ridiculous I went from 14 to 18 I'm playing zoo from now on

EDIT: and playing zoo dropped me down to the bottom of 19. like I actually don't understand how this is possible. there was some guy rank 19 who was running sylvannas hogger ysera and rag and I dealt with everything until the final hogger like are you kidding me

I think I'm done with this stupid game. I don't have the cards to play this at that level and I don't think I'll be getting them anytime soon

This is freakishly coincidental but I also lost 14 ranked games in a row yesterday (Unprecidented, I've never lost more than 6-7 in a row before having been playing this game for like a year now?) with my best Zoo deck.

A deck I've historically taken past rank 5 that has a > 50% WR at that level (absolutely nothing wrong with the deck).

I was just stunned, over and over again each match. It was unreal to the point I had wished it was recorded because it would have been a lot of reddit karma. After awhile I just started calling out the worst possible play for me each turn and my opponent almost always delivered.

This one pally has two minions of the board to my 3. He true silvers on turn 6 and equalities. He decides to run his face into my 9/1 voidterrorto take 7 damage instead of my 1/1 voidcaller (...keep in mind that both of his minions were hero powers and die anyway). At this point I figure the reign of terror must be over because that was one of the most Dennis plays I've ever seen, only to have him pyro equality me the following turn after I dump most of my hand, followed by a double consecrate on turn 8 to clear me again after I dump the rest of my hand the following turn.


To be fair, at the start of the season the games are always harder but I saw some weird shit yesterday. Gonna take a break for a week I think.

I for one never play ranked until about 1.5-2 weeks into the season, and I start with a Druid deck that's slightly faster than standard ramp, due to it being more consistent than Zoo. It also has an option to taunt up Spectral Knights to avoid most cheap tempo removal. My winrate in the lower ranks when most of the decent players have climbed to <5 is near 100% for that reason.

I don't know if there is a way of showing the elapsed time of a match, but I just had a 45 second match.

(Me) Warrior v Mage

Threw down a Nerubian Egg, cast Inner Rage on it to destroy it while taking their minion out with a Festering Ghoul on the board soaking up the attack. They tried to use Fireball and Arcane Missles to take it out but I ended up using Rampage to give it +3/+3 with a 4/4 and a 7/4 on the board. Instant Concede.

I only play the Warrior Deck, playing casual (literally scared like a little bitch to play ranked) but I'm winning 6/1 every time.

Any card that has +1 Attack for Damage to Minions + Rampage +3/+3 = game over.

Had 2 17/10's on the board yesterday

This happened a while ago, and I forgot to post it because I just couldn't believe what I saw.

Playing an arena and I'm up against a Warlock. He does some shit on the first two turns and that's not an issue. But this is where it gets fucked.
Turn three Scarlet Crusader
Turn four Coin, power overwhelming, power overwhelming (11/9 crusader) face swing. Then Void Terror on the Scarlet. 14/12 void terror on turn 4.
Needless to say I lost. And just for good measure he used another Power Overwhelming on the void terror when he swung for lethal.

Great game.

I know that I'm a noob at this game, but isn't Power Overwhelming supposed to kill that target at the end of their turn? It only gives +4/+4 until it "dies a horrible death" so how was it still alive on turn 4?

void terror eats the minions adjacent to it when summoned and gains their stats
so the scarlet crusader died before end of turn

warlocks really like running the power overwhelming/void terror combo

power overwhelming is basically paladin's blessing of kings (which is one of the best minion buff spells in the game) except it kills your minion. however, by letting void terror consume the minion, those stats become permanent, giving power overwhelming immense value

it pretty much forces your opponent to use removal on it
