Last day of the season in which I've been too busy to ladder (RIP S3 Rank 3)
15 game win streak as Huntard straight from 18 to 11, outplaying a Legend Handlock along the way. To be fair I did have to work for a couple wins, notably an emote-spamming cocky BM Priest w/ Lightwell and a mirror who thought he had the upper hand

Probably. After rank 7ish it's mostly a dumb grind anyway. The players don't get much better. If you can win at rank ~5 you can win at legend, it just takes a long time to get there because your WR is probably going to only be marginally above 50%.
Hunter is one of the best decks to grind with though because it's the most consistent with the highest win rate in the current meta.
Though I've been running into more and more counters to do this deck, have had some rough patches lately.
Even modified a secret mage to do pretty well again this deck. Haven't even lost to hunter I don't think. The hunter can't really do anything when you never play more than a single minion and just remove all of their threats and their weapon. And then once you get a huge minion up, counterspell is GG unless they held onto their flare. Biggest threat to this deck is double kill command but I think a lot of hunters are only running 1 right now.
k I normally wouldn't share games excluding a few fun screenshots here and there but I thought this was absolutely hilarious
so in order to get my quests completed I decided to do a deathrattle/zoo druid deck
playing against a priest, and I open with undertaker and an egg. he responds with deathlord. I put down another egg and zombie chow and poke his deathlord to 4 hp. he then does the double hp attack conversion, making it 8/8 and hits my face
I then use poison seeds, dropping the 2 4/4 nerubians, and causes his deathlord to put a knife juggler on my field, followed by 4 2/2 treants which obviously sends 4 damage to his face. my next card? savage roar for lethal
There's also a secretless version of this deck that I think is taking off in popularity, if anything because it does much better against many of the decks that people have come up with to counter that shit.
That and, yeah, currently in secret hunter vs secret hunter, whoever gets the flares wins the game. Also a plus to playing it without secrets. Flares are dead because most of the time they just hold them assuming you have secrets.
I'm one turn away from winning with 3 minions on the board and he snipes me at 8 hp with a rag
if I had a quarter for every time I've been clutch rag sniped I'd be fucking rich. does blizzard code rag to prioritize lethals or something I've never seen a rag miss lethal snipe

Most people hate Rag and most people agree it's OP.
It's pretty stupid. It's an auto slot filler in any control deck. It's mostly the mechanic; on one hand the RNG can win and lose games but that's not what makes it special. It's basically the only card in the game that can do absurd amounts of damage without actually taking any damage in return. The card would still be overpowered if it only did 6 damage. It trades so efficiently it makes shit like Savanna look worthless and basically requires you have insta removal like hex, poly or execute.
I fucking hate ragnaros.
PS You can sub arcane golem for Leeroy in Hunter. It's not as good BUT, it's also 1 mana cheaper meaning it's slightly easier to combo. Not a perfect solution but it can help.
