The game that we are delivering content is usually for people to play is Stepmania. If they're not playing StepMania, they're playing on pad, which well... you know.

"map" also works

as long as the word sorta makes sense

you could say "map a song" or "chart a song" or "design a level for a song"
but you shouldn't say "step a song" or "stomp a song" or "dance a song"

Sure. Let's also have all the files have doubled BPMS, have one miss mean you fail, and have the speed scroll not be in your control. Also your note skin is changed every file to whatever the author wants.

I wouldn't say anything, but a step chart is pretty inaccurate when you're going for FFR because there isn't anyone I know who is crazy enough to play the game,on pad predominantly. Just because it derives off Stepmania doesn't really mean you have to reference it. FFR is it's own game with different options and judge windows. Charts for the two games (Unless it's like Thinking Of You or something like Intersect and BB Revenge ect) are pretty different too.

I usually call them simfiles or just chart or file myself though.

Note that I never demanded anyone to switch. I simply suggested it and explained my reasoning. I don't care if you don't use the right terminology, it doesn't make me mad nor will I chase after you. But when you act so defensively for something so trivial without any reason you look like an idiot.

I don't care what words you use, but I suggest that this is a better alternative. Am I in any way wrong?
