I think that there should be some permeant record beside the level ranks that "honours" the people who have done well at the game.
Ideas for a database list/hall of fame:
1.Anyone who AAA's an FMO should be on the list in my opinon.
2.The songs that the player has AAA'd of an FMO or better level should be next to there name.
3.Other stats may be included (No. of AAA's, overall/average rank, FGO FC's etc....)
4.A short bio could be included about the player.
5.The list could be restricted to retired players but how you define retired is a problem.
6.Could just be a "simple" auto-up dated list run off the DB so when someone new AAA's an FMO there updated onto the list. (Or when someone AAA's another FMO that will also be put up against there name).
7. The order of names could be sorted by who has AAA'd the most FMO's/FGO's and if people have the same amount (there will be lots with just one) then it can be sorted by overall AAA count.
or
A voting system is setup to induct members:
1. Could be made up of a few select knowledgeable people or up to a hundred users.
2. Could be a set amount of inductees each month/half year/year.
3. This system could include members who havent AAA'd an FMO but deserve hall of fame status.
You get my point. Ideas? Opinions? Plausibility?
Edit: I wouldnt mind seeing a list of who has AAA'd what FMO's/FGO's even if its not hall of fame related.
Edit 2:
Currently the best sounding idea:
A panel made up of old, knowledgeable and impartial judges who vote in players to be added to the hall of fame. The kind of players to be inducted are the more inactive members. The members would preferably also have had a positive effect on the community. The aim would be a subjective list and not just a simple goals achived system.
Assumedly there would be a bio of all the inductees. The inductees would be added in occasionally annually or half annually. At the start 5 or 6 members may be added in and then a year later 2 or 3 more would be added for example.
Would the hall of fame be a stickied thread or would it have its own dedicated page under credits on the main site?
