Alright im off to bed, tommrow morning I will update the first post with any new thoughts/opinions/criticisms.

Please dont derail this thread to far with who will be in the hall rather please discuss how the people are decided to get in.

Oh and if a mod/admin could let me know if the hall of fame has the potential to be a theread, a stickied thread or have its own dedicated page I would love to know.

Well, here's a list of people I would suggest would fit:

          Shashakiro
          MrRubix
          darkshark
          Bahamut-X
          lumphoboextreme

          XXXsmittyXXX
          jimerax
          HammyMcSquirrel
          DarkManticoreX2

A few people off the top of my head.

            Alright hmm....

Well, there should be a council. The problem is though, finding said council.

Top 10 scores on FGO aren't a good indicator for automatic entry because everyone gets lucky. I could go get lucky and FC caprice and get top 10, but that doesn't make me a FFR legend.

It should also be split into a playing hall of fame, and a forum hall of fame. Because there are some forum heroes that should be remembered forever.

Here is the part where I would elaborate. Too sleepy

Re: Hall of fame for FFR players.

A Hall of Fame would be a pretty good idea.

However, it shouldn't be determined by an objective accomplishment, since as XpTrip stated, people get lucky sometimes. For example, some of the FGO's, such as Frictional Nevada and Piano Etude to name a few, can be high-scored by mashing.

In any case, a Hall of Fame shouldn't have a huge number of inductees. I agree with the idea of a panel of judges, which would help limit them to those who are most deserving. The rest can always strive to accomplish/stand out more, since I doubt there will be a rule dictating that rejected nominees are illegible for reconsideration.

As for panel members, simply choose knowledgeable members of the community. Preferably those that are familiar with a good portion of the playerbase and will be impartial for the most part.

Ex: JX, Rebirth, ds, scott, Sprite, DM, etc.

maybe people who have been here for a really long time and know everyone should be the judge's... maybe like 10 people or so and have to get above 50% approval to be in.

Well, maybe once we get a few people in the Hall of Fame, they can make up the council. Like maybe the ones omgitznpv mentioned.

Re: Hall of fame for FFR players.

I think the panel should consist of members who have been here for a long time and are still active (many of the players ieat mentioned, for instance). Such a group would be the most knowledgeable about the userbase.

Using a goal-based standard for hall of fame entry won't really cut it, esp. if the gauge is along the lines of strictly FC'ing or AAA'ing an FMO/FGO. Many Hall-of-Fames in our society are really made to honor individuals who are not only good at what they do, but have also contributed positively to the community in some way (this is not always true, but in general it's the trend you see).

So really it's a combination of factors that would determine if one was worthy of being in a Hall-of-Fame. Otherwise, you're really just making another Tier Points system, lol, which is why you must make it more "subjective."
