I will still have some envolvment, but if you could take head of this thing because its outside of my strengths and knowledge. Also your a mod, I haven't even become a subscriber (if that really matters).

Well, Jimerax has given a good general summary of who should be in the Hall Of Fame and why. The idea now would be to formalise a process to vote those sort of people in and make up a bio with list of achievements or character profile.

Still alot more disscussion to be had on if this could be made into an official dedicated page to be put in the Credits section of the site. Need an admins opinion on this I think.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned in scottish's marathon post, I only read half of it, but would the judging be leveled out?

Personal Test by a Judge, perhaps looking at the persons best score, activity, forum posts, etc.. tHoF shouldn't exactly be skill alone. (Or should it?) It should be more of an FFR hall of fame?

This sounds entirely like a hall of fame dealing entirely with in-game accomplishment. It strikes me less as a traditional hall of fame, and more like a highly formalized high score list.

Tiers should be more of a guideline, rather than a standard. The HoF should have those whose accomplishments are not only of a high caliber, but also stand out.

It would be more or less something like this [using the 2nd era as a basis - note: these are pertaining only to skill (forum stuff is a separate sector)]:

Shashakiro - FFR Bionic Soldier
---held top scores on virtually every song at the peak of his FFR career
---MP Mod, Tournament Organizer, etc.

Bahamut-X - Shash's archnemesis
---held most of the very few rank 1's unclaimed by Shashakiro
---only person of era to AAA Rondo V1
---only person ever to AAA JRB prior to its skinfix
---particularly young *insert age at time*

scottish - 3-fingered destroyer
---up there at the top of the hierarchy
---broke barriers for his respective playing style and achieved many notable feats
---(first? or second?) person to AAA FOTBB
---high scores on many FGO's
---only person to pose a threat to Rubix on Runny
---MP mod

jimerax - FFR PA Machine
---noted for originally playing with sideways scroll (and being good at it!)
---second person to attain the highly sought after For FFR AAA
---top 5 for almost every FGO
---Tier 2 or above for every year since FFR's beginning
---top placer in FFR PA Competition *insert link to thread*
---FFR General Mod, Simfile Judge, Tier Point Coordinator, etc.

Or something like that. Additionally, the inductees do not need to be limited solely to the accomplishments of their prime era (providing they have more than one), and the descriptions may include things such as more recent doings.

For example, if I were to write an entry for myself (though I'm not necessarily implying that I'm entirely worthy of consideration), it would look similar to the following:

ieatyourlvllol - *insert random title*
---known by a number of veterans for the AAA races, the first of which pitted him against xjohnieboyx and eurostud4, and the second, Sprite- and XXXsmittyXXX
---second person to nab the elusive FF7 Battle AAA, and thus the even more elusive Synthlight AAA
---Pants score (lol)
---top placer in FFR PA Competition *insert link to thread*

The last two would be the so-called "non-era" achievements.

I compleatly agree with everything Scott said, but mostly I like the idea to SPIT UP THE TIMES

He's 1000% right. Before speedmodes I couldnt really pass parts of TGWP but with them Im looking close to a SDG here soon.

Oh and I still like having people who's helped the site being in the HoF along with the players.

I've made a thread in general talk. It's stickied and locked at the moment. I'll be making a post sometime today/tonight about it, introducing what we will be doing, what it will be, etc. We can still keep this here for now, but I hope to make a separate thread for discussion and everything else soon.
Just to let you know though, we will be placing player HOF first. I want to get that out of the way. Afterwards, we'll be recognizing everything from Tournament winners, to simfiles and authors, to Spin it Up.
