The change debated on here seems very unanimous (according to the poll results). As for keeping FFR unique, I believe the community itself does just that. We must not forget how special and unique the events and experiences we have had on here really are.

The conversion to raw scoring would only be able to take your current best scores and convert them. You would be out of luck if you got a missflag and your current best is 500 goods full combo.

I don't think this is that big of a deal though.

I think that anytime you get a FC, that should stay in your stats. FC coding would have to be reworked anyways. how would this work?

I agree with what Izzy said. Replays can also serve as a new replacement raw score since I believe that that is enough evidence considering that "unrecorded scores" require everything a replay has. It shouldn't be counted as a "unrecorded score" since the score was actually recorded at one point.

Ideally, I think it is best to incorporate both raw and combo scoring for many reasons mentioned. Average rank should be based on raw scoring and "Overall Rank" should be based on combo scoring. This will obviously take a lot of work, so I doubt this would happen.

Slightly off topic, but I also think that "Overall Rank" should be changed to "Grandtotal Rank" or something along those lines.

Combo scoring is the worst idea in any timing based rhythm game ever

raw score would be a more accurate representation of skill, but tbh i really don't care

Good point, I hadn't considered that. I agree with this statement.

                Well put.

Something that needs to be considered is whether or not it will remove a full combo from your bar if you get a higher raw score without a full combo. I believe that if you ever full combo it should be able to flag it with an astericks still to mark it full comboed even if your best raw score is higher and replaces the score in level ranks.

YES PLEASE I think it's stupid that hitting an arrow that's not even there only penalizes you like 1/13th (combo scoring) of what hitting an arrow a frame late does while letting you keep your combo. Just do raw scoring + make boos deduct more points + break combo and I'll be happy forever.

I agree with this completely. Its such a travesty, especially for the official tournament. Good PA & no FC = rip score.

Combo scoring. No other rhythm game lets you mash for decent ranks, and I feel that thats something special. Good PA FCs beat mashed scores anyway.

Yea Itd be nice if FCs turned on a * even if you lost the FC with a better score. Sometimes it makes me start mashing on the end of a file so I dont lose FCs

Raw Scoring is a more accurate representation of both the player and the game site. Like kommisar said, if this is a accuracy based rhythm game, then why are we sticking to something like combo scoring? Shouldn't this be a accuracy-based game? Isn't that what it is all about?

So I think it is fair to say that 90%+ of the ffr's active userbase would prefer raw scoring or would not care.
