Re: Artist Blanket Permissions V2
For Freezepop, does the permission apply to the remix they made of the JEM theme song?
Also, it'd be nice to get "Shut Me Up" from Mindless Self Indulgence. But I'm daydreaming.Last edited by Coolgamer; 08-18-2007, 09:12 PM.Comment

Re: Artist Blanket Permissions V2
I got a response from Cynicmusic, and we are allowed to use his music.
So all we have got to do is let him know which songs we want to useOriginally posted by CynicmusicHello,
I would very much like it if you used my music on your site. Can you give credit to www.cynicmusic.com and make it easy for anyone who likes the music to find my website? If so feel free to use almost any song you want. Please run the song list that you plan to use by me.
thanks

Re: Artist Blanket Permissions V2
Keatonkeaton999 has given blanket permission for his remixes.
His site is at http://keaton-world.com/music.html
Some of his works will not be workable due to being mash-ups of licensed songs like Green Day, but most are original remixes with a bit of fair-use audio sampling.
Quote, "on my music page anything under "Mode = MUSICAL CANDY" is made by me from scratch, i think none of them sample anything for more than like 3 seconds at most. anything under "Mode = REMIXES" is me remixing using other peoples work, whether it actually be clips from their songs, or just me using the notes from their songs. stuff under "Mode = YTMND" samples stuff often, sometimes a lot."
Some YTMND remixes are fair use, however.
Examples:
"Tetris B Mind Explosion", "Super Mario HaX0r", and "Super Mario Bros. 3 Speed Run" are original and DESERVE to be in the arcade section.
"You just fell for the Trap! (instrumental)" is all original. "You just fell for the Trap!" is the same thing but with audio from President Bush.
"Leeroy Jenkins (fun times mix)" and "Bad Coding & Grey Goose (fun times mix)" are all original.
"McFly You Bojo! (fun times mix)", "How's it hangin McFly (fun times mix)", "Dodgson (fun times mix)" are all fair use.
"Keaton Wears Teeth - Waka Laka NES Chiptune" is debatable, as it's the song in chiptune format.
"404th of July" is of of my favorites and is totally original.Comment

idk what you mean exactly as original remixes. i would consider them all original, i'm not taking credit for other peoples stuff. obviously my songs like "Gwen Stephanie - The Sweet Escape (remix)" and "Green Day vs. Texas ******t" are using other peoples tracks that i altered or worked with in some way.
http://keaton-world.com/music.html : on my music page anything under "Mode = MUSICAL CANDY" is made by me from scratch, i think none of them sample anything for more than like 3 seconds at most. anything under "Mode = REMIXES" is me remixing using other peoples work, whether it actually be clips from their songs, or just me using the notes from their songs. stuff under "Mode = YTMND" samples stuff often, sometimes a lot.
so i hope that answers any questions, i guess just ask me about any specifics.

Which songs of yours are original remixes? (Some fair use audio is okay)
I'd like to try to get it on flashflashrevolution.com as part of a free online game, if you don't mind. It's sorta like Dance Dance Revolution except better songs and for the keyboard. I've been a member for about four years now."Comment

Add Darkest Hour to the list. DrugstoreCowboy said that Darkest Hour gave us their permission and are requesting a Widget. So, if you need verification, Tass, ask Drugstore. He'll have it.
Their website is: www.darkesthour.cc
