I saw a flyer on a bulletin board at school asking for high-functioning aspergers/autism people to participate in some kind of experiment, and all I could think was, that sounds like a great place to meet girls.
lots of files have hands in 'em in the batch. because people want to use hands, they try to make every song really hard. so a lot of files end up ****ty.
one possible solution would be to allow hands no matter the difficulty. then you run into the issues that come with having files aimed at the average player with hands, which is the whole reason we have the rule now.
another solution is for people to stop trying so hard and just deal with not being able to use hands. not optimal for people who know what they're doing, but for the average ffr simauthor it's not a bad strategy. since tass is unlikely to bend the rule, this looks like a better option for now.
that's all I was trying to say, in a very poorly worded way
whenever u were going to place a hand place a 14 instead. woah problem's gone

[24][124] would portray said example better than [24][14] ([14] being a more...uh...i don't know a word for it...centered? whatever jump than [24], which, in this case, would have a feeling that leads it to somewhere else, which is what the C7 chord would do). the [124] hand would have that same [24] in it to go with the C7 and the 1 to have the cymbal crash added. the [14] wouldn't simulate the effect of the dominant seventh.
ok.

it's like playing a piano song that doesn't ever hit more than 2 notes at the same time
EDIT: here's another problem. ffr has gotten so used to pad-style "oldskool" stepping, that we have completely lost sight of what keyboard simulation is meant to be. we're not taking into consideration the fact that pad and keyboard playing is different, and will thus require drastically different styles. only when we understand this can we make good files, and only when we start making GOOD files, can the public understand as well.
you know how frustrating this is for me? do any of remember a time you tried to convince your friend about something? do any of you feel like mainstream culture is blinding everyone with trash? if you felt that before, or something similar to that, you know how frustrated I am.
Welcome back man, I'll be waiting for your next masterpiece file
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)
You're holding me down (Oh Oh)
Turning me round (Oh Oh)
Filling me up with your rules (Oooh)
Ffr is still years behind sm when it comes to files and its only been recently that files have improved so I'm pretty sure hands will eventually be allowed in lower difficulties

Yeah... and Tass will allow mines...
In other news, I hate syncing, but the file is looking decent.
