anything that needs to be changed about j'ai? IIRC it's perfectly correct as far as stepping everything but the patterns for the hard part are really abrasive (unlike the ones for zagh's which flow smoothly overall)

hey, I wanted to step a song from an artist named "hypercore", and the guy released the album here in FFR (I assume he gave our permission to use it for FFR). so for the artist name in the .dwi do I put his username or the artist name "hypercore"? (so that he gets the FFR R1 Music Producer title)

barista: if you sent your files in after december 5th, they'll be in this batch... which is why they weren't in the previous batch. as such, don't resend them, because i still have them unread in my inbox. assuming you send to the right email.

patashu: i felt j'ai was overstepped and a dump... but apparently blu and jx both felt it was super awesome.

zybathia: no idea, don't think your file made it to me

sc: the 16th jump glut spam bursts (can i copyright that?) were sections throughout with 16th jumps together, some had 32nds or something in with them, i believe. there were at least 5 or 6 groupings of that type of section throughout the file.


next batch will close up... during the day next thursday. that'll give all of you guys plenty of time.

I checked the rhythms, and you're mostly right about those, but damn. Why are you guys so jackophobic? There's no av-misses anymore, and jacks shouldn't be hell to hit on any style unless you're really bad at them. Pretty much every single one of those jacks has musical justification, and you're crazy if you think I'm removing the ones to the bass blasts. Oh and jimerax: the varying patterns on the 64ths keep it interesting. Just having huge rolls would be lame.

If you slow it down, I guarantee you will see it's pitch relevant. I literally spent hours on the PR alone.

I don't mean to be disrepsectful or arrogant, as I've said more than once myself that I didn't expect it to get in and I was just waiting to see what I needed to work on, but the PR just can't be something I need to work on. I don't see how it's possible. I've went over it three times since the batch notes and every note is PR in the areas suggested for improvement. Maybe the judges played by ear? If you anaylze it, I guarantee you, you will see.

Again though, don't get me wrong; I was actually hoping I could have a chance to add a couple arrows and take out the stupid arrows at the end of the file (which is what I think led to the comment about the fade-out being too long; it's supposed to end at the fade-out).

This is why I explained myself in my post, but I'll say it yet again: I didn't expect the file to get in. I said I didn't expect it multiple times. It's not really the issue. The issue is that I literally have no idea how to make the corrections the judges want because the file IS pitch relevant. The whole thing.

I'm not being defensive about the rejection, because, like I also said in that post, I'm sort of glad I can go back and change a couple things here and there. Don't make me out to be a whiner, please, that's not what this is about. Read my whole posts; this isn't the first time this has happened to me in this thread.
