Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
k, Sunset Dept.: should have been more specific about which patterns, the 32nds. Any that lasts more than 3 notes the pattern either isn't pretty, doesn't play well or is heavy-handed. I was perhaps too strict in my judgement but the errors just offended me so much because I looove the song. Listen to it at like .5x to find all the right sync for everything and to find the drums that you missed.
And for pattern choice it doesn't have to be index friendly but it shouldn't be spread unfriendly unless you need to do it for PR (and we're talking about a repeated snare here so no reason you need to use 23432343)
and the PR in Primitivism: In the first section before you get full on to the layering you're doing these left handed trills to guitar (I think) and the PR is just plain wrong. Later when you start doing the jumps that are all 16ths you don't change which jumps your using for the different pitches. Just look at m35, (34)(24)(13)(12) three times in a row and the pitch is descending differently each time. It doesn't have to be perfect but the patterns you choose should change when the music changes.
